In X and Y Hawlucha was introduced with a unique dual type move called Flying Press that is both a fighting and flying type attack. With new Pokémon coming in the next generation, there could be a possibility of other Pokémon having signature dual type moves. Do you think there will be more Dual type attacks in Sun and Moon? Would it be too confusing to players to expand with dual Type moves? What kind of type combinations would you like to see? I think a Ghost and Fighting dual type move could be interesting because it could hit pretty much any Pokémon type with neutral coverage. A dual type move that is normal and another type could be an interesting combination with an ability like Referigerate, Pixiliate, or Aerilate since the normal type portion of the attack would change and be boosted while the other type would still be in effect!

It would be awesome if we have dual type moves in sun and moon. I would like to see dark/phsychic type move or a fire/fighting. Yeah, they sound little over but it would be awesome if we get introduced to these type dual type moves. If not this, any new type combination which is little unique and interesting in a gameplay would be good.

I never really used Hawlucha in any of my playthrughs, so I never experimented with Dual-type moves. However, I'd be interested in seeing more introduced! It would add an interesting twist to gameplay, both casual and competitive. And not gonna lie, I think it would be a waste to not bring back dual-type moves for other Pokémon.

I think that duel type moves are a cool idea and I would love for more to be introduced. Maybe having then as signature moves for certain Pokémon. It'll be interesting to play around with them ingame and competitively.

The concept of dual-type moves are certainly interesting, and something I see taken advantage of a lot with Hawlucha. Personally, I would like to see more but that raises the issue of how they should be done, opposite types such as fire/water, dragon/fairy or should they be more balanced in focusing on the types that aren't super effective against many types? I personally am looking forward to see if there is a Ghost/Normal type move/,

I really liked using Flying Press, so I'd definitely like to see more of those moves. Why isn't Steam Eruption a Fire/Water move?

    But there's one other move-related thing I'd like to see; more moves that affect types they shouldn't. For example, Gen IV gave us Freeze-Dry, an Ice type move that's supper effective against Water type Pokémon. We definitely need more of these, and I think they should start by covering the bases - types with immunities. So, that'd give us;

Normal type attack that is super-effective against Ghost type Pokémon
Fighting type attack that is super-effective against Ghost type Pokémon
Ghost type attack that is super-effective against Normal type Pokémon
Ground type attack that is super-effective against Flying type Pokémon
Electric type attack that is super-effective against Ground type Pokémon
Psychic type attack that is super-effective against Dark type Pokémon
Poison type attack that is super-effective against Steel type Pokémon
Dragon type attack that is super-effective against Fairy type Pokémon

    I don't think I missed any

I think it would be really cool to see dual type moves in sun and moon. The only thing is I hope they won't become too OP and end up creating some type of power creep. I'm pretty sure new dual types moves would be awesome and really change the metagame, but leave others who can't adapt in the dust.

I kind of feel like Flying Press was a special thing that was just meant for Hawlucha. I think that having a lot of dual typed moves could get too confusing. I could be wrong, though, as moves like Sacred Sword are no longer exclusive moves.

Although I would like to see more dual type moves in Sun and Moon, I like the take that [member=Aura} is going at, I'd like to see a dragon type move that affects fairies, a normal type move that affects ghosts, etc. I believe that special moves like these would spice up the competitive game, and just the game in general. I also agree with [member=Nate] in that Flying Press may have just been exclusive to Hawlucha, and that we more than likely will not see any dual type moves in upcoming games, as that could just be way to overpowered and unbalanced, and overthrow a lot of what Pokémon is based off of: type advantage.

I don't think that'd work the way you think it would. Since it'd be part Ghost, Normal would be immune to it, and since it'd be part fighting, Ghost would be immune to it, too... at least that's how I think it'd work, since Flying Press doesn't work on Ghost-types.

Honestly, though, I'd like to see a Fairy/Water type move. It'd probably look really cool, and the amount of Pokémon it could hit would be interesting, too.

Flying press? Ehhh... I didn't really enjoy the move. 80 base power wasn't good enough to see it get use, if you want to make a dual type move with an impact it'd have to be a legendary's signature move. I'd rather just not see it, although I'm sure we will. It just sounds too flashy to me. Just one of those stunts nintendo pulls to look cool.
