With every generation, there seems to be a Pokémon that doesn't get as much appreciaton as it deserves. What do you think are some of the most underrated?
Mega Garchomp, people say he sucks but he is OP when I battle him in the battle tree... Sometimes he takes out my whole team!
Dunsparce. He's not super strong or anything, but he's almost universally forgotten, except for as 'that Pokémon that is universally forgotten'. I mean, he's adorable, with awesome origins and a unique design, and his movepool is great. He learns Dragon Rush through level-up! DRAGON RUSH! Not to mention stuff like Roost, Earthquake, and Thunderbolt. We need a Dunsparce Appreciation Day. #MissingNo
Ehhh someone likes him apparently because he was one of your friggin partners in Gates to Infinity (Pokémon Mystery Dungeon) I cannot tell you how many times he died.. But I do agree he has potential if you use him right.
Yeah, bad idea to put him up against anything even moderately decent. However! If he gets an evolution...or an Alolan form...*hint hint* It could happen. Fairy-Dragon type Dunsparce with a halo. Please. #MissingNo
Qwilfish. It's design is good, it's typing is average (too many water/poison, but whatever), and its inspiration is pretty neat. (Puffer fish, which are known to be lethally poisonous to humans)
I don't see a lot of people giving Emboar any attention. Even my brother skipped him as his starter for gen 5, and he's the one who always picks the fire types! I've used it, and although it is slow and its defenses are less than optimal, its strength is crazy and I like its design. The fire pig needs more love I think.
Chikorita is another underrated starter, I think (okay I know that choosing Chikorita is supposedly "hard mode" but it's pretty cute! Think of the cuteness guys!) I only chose Chikorita because of this book my mom got me out of the library when I was like, seven where this Meganium falls in love with a Tropius instead of Ash's Sceptile and I guess from then on I really liked Grass type starters.
Not too many people like skuntank, but it really began to grow on me when I first played Diamond. It's typing leaves it with only one weakness and it can almost single-handedly take down Lucian's team. ... Also, I have a soft spot for catlike Pokémon
Catlike Pokémon are awesome! That's the reason I like Mars better than the other commanders-- even if Purugly is, well, ugly, it's a kitty! I like Glameow better though. Purrloin is adorable too, in my opinion, even though I didn't really use it to much during my Black play through!
