Most useless item? I agree with you completely, the X items are terrible and never used in anything but speedruns.

 

Definitely the X items.

I've seen some videos of them being slightly useful (aka that one video of the guy using mass X items on his Pidgey to solo Red) but I don't have the patience for that since most Pokémon are good enough as-is when evolved plus Pokémon isn't a difficult game by any means already. They go straight to the sell box when I get them.

The Stick is also pretty useless. Increases critical ratio of Farfetch'd by two stages but who uses Farfetch'd? D8

 

X items, yeah. Though a lot of Nuzlockers do make use of them, they're not overly useful at all. I just sell 'em.

 

I agree with the pretty wing and the X items.

I always thought that the grip claw and the binding band were kind of useless. I guess you could use them on heatran for magma storm.

 

Yeah the X items are stupid.

There is no situation ever where I would really WANT the Pokémon encounter rate to be increased. It may be useful to some, but not to me. (Plus there is no way that looks like a flute)

I have not seen it making a difference in encountering Pokémon. I'd rather use a repel because that item is pretty much useless.

 

I never use the X items, I normally sell them if I pick them up and I find them pretty useless.

 

All the X-items! It makes you +1 in only one stat and you lose a whole turn!
You could have a set up move that does better than that!

 

Hate to be unoriginal but the X items are extremely useless to me as well! I never, ever use them.

Oh yeah, and there's those Tiny Mushrooms... they haven't been of any use since FRLG. They don't even sell for much.

 

I think focus band is pretty pointless. Only 10% chance that it will work. That's a pretty low chance. I'd rather chance my luck on a OHKO move.

 

I think the most useless items would have to the the colored shards you could find in the games. They serve no purpose whatsoever other than to collect a bunch of them in exchange for evolution stones or certain berries from jugglers in HG/SS. Why would anyone want to waste time hunting down all of those shards JUST for an evolution stone? (No dawn or dusk in gen3) In FR/LG you could simply BUY all of the stones you need shards for in RSE. Seems like a waste of time to get these items, therefore making them useless.

 

X-Items make me want to barf. I mean, why waste your time on something that you are using because you didn't train your Pokémon well enough, besides, I like selling the X items to pick up that extra little bit of cash. I have never used an X item and I never will.

I too feel that the X items are useless. They waste a turn, and can be outdone easily by stat buff moves.

 

Dire Hit in the first generation. It's supposed to boost your critical hit ratio like the move Focus Energy, when in reality, it actually DECREASES your crit ratio in the R/B/Y games.

 

Personally I hate the Red Card and Absorb Bulb. They just seem to pointless, with no proper use. Way too situational for my liking.
