What are some moves you teach your Pokémon just because, especially if they make little sense?

Whenever I have a Charizard that I'm not using in my competitive party, I always teach it Rock Slide. It's a callback to my first Charizard, arguably my most powerful Pokémon, who learned the move when I was... uh... I don't remember, young and playing LeafGreen as my first Pokémon game. Still, that Charizard wrecks. And it still knows Rock Slide.

Back when it could actually learn it, I'd always teach my Pikachu/Raichu Iron Tail, as a nod to the anime.

I also taught my Genesect Fly, because it's better if it knows the move than Volcarona.

I sometimes use Steel Wing Charizard X even though Earthquake is twenty times better. Its not like it actually helps in the big picture of things.

Magnet rise on manectric, its just derpy and kinda fun. Can be clutch when youre messing around in multi battles or something. Also the elemental hyper beams on starters were kinda fun to use too

I remember once doing a solo run with Empoleon in Pokémon Diamond.
I gave it all HM moves.
Surf, Waterfall, Rock Climb, and Cut. Best Pokémon ever.

I had this thing where I would always try to teach Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Psychic, Flamethrower, and Shadow Ball on at least one member of my team. If felt weird if I just had the TM sitting in my bag before they could be used infinitely.

I taught my gengar, shadow ball, sludge bomb, energyball, and confuse ray. while these are good moves, the reason I taught it these was because my Gengar is a gunner in my stories, he likes to sit back and mess with the opponent~!

Personally if I got a Blastoise, I would always teach it Hydro Cannon and Hydro Pump. Although the Hyper Beam moves are quite overrated (the weakness being the recharge) It just made sense for it to have Hydro Cannon. I also gave it Water Gun and Rapid Spin.

I taught my in-game Talonflame Flamethrower, why? Because I like the move and nothing else. XD

I also seems to have knack for always teaching a Pokémon in my team Thunderbolt.

I taught my Celebi Dazzling Gleam. Figured it would make a little bit of sense and help him to counter Dark-type Pokémon.

As a kid, I used to teach Fly, Surf and Hyper Beam to everything that could learn it. It was a simple time...it was a beautiful time.

I search for the most crazy shit they can learn :D It's so fun to see a Pokémon use a move that no one would ever expect it to even learn.
