There comes a time in most people's lives where they have to seriously adjust from one stage of their life to the next; a "crossroads", if you will. This often involves immense change of one's self or the environment that surrounds them. Sometimes the choices is easy, sometimes it can be rather difficult.

What crossroads have you come to in your life? How did you decide what to do? Do you regret any choice you've made?

I'm currently at a crossroads in my life, and I have decided to take a path that will take me away from Lake Valor for two years. Even though this had to happen, I am confident that I'm making the right choice in what I'm doing right now. In order to progress in life, you may have to sacrifice some things, sometimes for good. Luckily, I won't have to sacrifice you guys forever tho ^_^

I guess the only two crossroads I've encountered in my life are the choice for a secondary/high school (depends on what you want to call it) a couple of years ago and the choice for an university next year. Both choices felt (and feel) like very important choices, but as long as I choose with my heart, my head, my wallet and my gut feeling, I'm sure I'll be alright. I haven't regretted the decision of my high school for even one second (although last school year really sucked) and I have confidence in the university I have set my mind on as well. I'll make it, I'm sure of it o7

I've reached many crossroads. Too many. I've had enough crossroads for one lifetime already, c'mon life plz stahp. Despite the variance between the many crossroads I've come to, I've handled them all very similarly. I try to apply wisdom and rationality first and foremost. I'm not a fan of trusting my gut for anything more than small decisions. For these great potentially life-changing choices, I try to take as much time as reasonably possible to consider my options. I have what I have called my Rule of Fours, or Four Aces if I'm feeling particularly dramatic. At any time I am prepared with four backup plans or decisions for any given situation, and for each of those four decisions I have thought through the first four immediate effects those decisions would have if I went through with them. Having four plans available means that I usually can make my choices with ease and confidence. Ever since I've used this Rule of Fours I have yet to regret any of my major decisions.

I guess when it comes to "crossroads" or two different paths, I've always taken the easier route, which hurts people the least.
Or try to. I don't like making these decisions, so whenever it arises, I usually fret like a lonely puppy.

I go for a second opinion on these matters beforehand.
It's hard, when it involves those you care about...

I think the most major hurdle for me, was deciding to grow up and become a man.
I wanted to stay a kid forever and not reach adulthood.

Personally I think it came along much too fast.
So to make up for my peter pan syndrome, I act childish sometimes, with those closest.
    Never forget!

Well, I can talk about how I unfortunately made a wrong choice in a crossroad: I decided to stay in university and achieve a higher level of qualification (which turned out to be useless) - When I could have stopped at an earlier point, gotten some work experience, and then transfer into another field of study with more potential in it. Now I have spent the last few years trying to make the best of this "damage" I've done to myself.
