Moving

I've moved twice. The first was when I was 4 and I moved to another close town about 20 minutes away. The last time was a few months ago when I moved 10 hours away to college. It's been a fun, but interesting experience.

 

My whole family emigrated from the Phillipines to Canada about 4 years ago. I still remember my relatives crying on the way to the airport. I do miss them, and hope to come back for a vacation! That plane ride was depressing, but I knew it was for our good. Well here I am now. Safe and sound and happy as a bee

 

Well, I was born cross-country in New York. At about four-ish I moved over to Kenmore Washington. And one and one half years ago, I moved again, to where I am in Bothell. I can't really say what the first move was like, and the second was fairly uneventful, since I moved to a spot around only ten minutes away.

 

I just moved out with my boyfriend, to a town almost two hours away. It's been a ton of fun so far, I loved unpacking and setting everything up, though I know most people describe that experience as a "nightmare"... but I enjoyed it!

Other than that, me and my mom and dad moved out of the city I was born in when I was 2, and then when I was 11, we moved to a bigger house since I had two sisters born since then. Then, when I was about 17, I stayed with my boyfriend and his parents pretty much indefinitely, and my parents moved around a few times since they were going through a divorce and figuring stuff out. Since then and now, I "moved" back and forth between my parents' houses and my boyfriend's house, kind of unofficially, just stayed wherever I felt like I guess.

But that's all over now because, my boyfriend and I are living on our own. We may move again when our lease is up, but probably within the same city, this place is pretty cool.

 

I've actually never moved since where I've been living since I was born. It would feel weird for me to move since I've been here for so long. I guess that's why I'm still good friends with all my neighbors though I've seen many faces come and go as time passes by.

 

I have never moved before and I never will and it'll not happen in the coming years either. We are happy where we live, so I'll only move when I actually move out or go to college or something like that xD

 

I don't think this counts as moving, but I'm now studying at a boarding school in another country. The 6 hour time difference makes it very hard for me to find a good time to talk to my parents back in my home country. I am going to stay at the school for at least 4 years, then I may enrol in the university there. I only come back home at certain breaks, such as half-term breaks. At first, I feel very much homesick; 'tis a horrible time for me. That was until I made lots of friends!

 

I never moved away in my life, but it's certainly something I am looking forward to! I don't think I want to stay here in the Netherlands for the rest of my life, so I'll probably move to a different country some time

 

I have moved ever two years of my life, being a U.S. Air Force child. It sucks. Every time you start to make friends, every time you start to get comfortable, you are ripped away from everything you've begun to open yourself back up to after the last time it was all violently stolen from you.

It's emotionally damaging. In fact, sometimes people like me lose the will to get close to people again when they know it will suddenly end. It happened to my sister. It almost happened to me.

I've met so many people who have become devoid of all emotion in order to stop themselves from hurting because they, like me, have been moved around every year or two of their lives. It's sickening.

 

I've moved 9 times, so far. I don't emotionally detach myself, though, I just kind of get over it everytime I move. I've always made new friends, so that helps, though it does get annoying having to do it a lot.

 

I've moved around 3 times from what I can remember. My first house was this terrace somewhere, then I moved to this condominium, and then to a semi-dee, and then to my current house, a bungalow. All within the same state and country.
