So, a question to all you writers out there, what do you find easier, writing multiple stories at the same time or sticking to one story through to the end? It's a weird question, as a lot of writers would likely think more than one project is inconceivable, but I'm curious as to what other people think.

Personally, I see the pros and cons of both, but I find that currently having two projects going at the same time is quite helpful to me. As a con it means that my attention is divided between two stories, possibly detracting from the quality of both overall. However, what I have found is that writing two stories means that once I complete a chapter of one I can dwell on further content while I'm writing a chapter of the other story. It means that if I run out of inspiration on one I still have something to write.

I generally like to focus on one writing project at a time so that my thoughts don't get jumbled between the two. I'm pretty forgetful, so trying to write two separate things causes me to forget what I had planned for which story. What I like to do is to be writing one longer story and to occasionally stop to write a minor one-shot story so that I don't get stuck. I keep the majority of my focus on furthering my major story, and a little bit of my focus on a side story just for teh lolz to keep myself entertained and practiced.

Honestly I think that depends on what kind of personality you have; I for myself have a pretty good memory but can't focus on one thing for a long time so multiple stories work nicely for me, although someone else could be totally different.

I like juggling multiple projects--if I get stuck on one, I can work on another

I usually go with multiple projects. It's a lot more fun and interesting to see how each story progresses in contrast to one another. Personally, I get a little tired of working on the same project for a long period of time and begin to lose interest and motivation to continue. However, with multiple projects, I can incorporate other ideas from my variety of different projects into other projects and get a little more perspective on what I want to do on my project. It also gives me a break from reading a story that sounds good as I'm writing, but when I look back, it's absolutely terrible.

I usually do a single project at a time, but sometimes I take a huge heap of projects, and I'm stuck thinking which one to do next.Someone asks me for this one, and then another person asks me for that one, it gets annoying after a while. And that's why I don't many cliffhangers for a while, unlike some twisted authors on Fanfiction.net.I'm about to finish my first huge project after a year's work, and I'm very happy about that. I hope to finish it on the years anniversary. From now on, I'll take one at a time, unless it has to be done, and quick.

I tend to do multiple projects for at times, I tend to lose interest when it comes to focusing on just one thing. It doesn't happen to one-shots/drabbles, but multi-chapter stories can trap you (at least in my case). So I tend to work on multiple things as to not get bored or get stuck too quickly.
Of course, the downside is having too many things to focus on that you would not know what to really do from there, and worst case scenario, you just end up dropping/deleting it because you can't finish/pick it up from there.

So, overall, multiple projects for me unless otherwise. :)
