Every new Pokémon game comes with new tracks. Some have a main Instrument (RBS and the trumpet) or fit the theme of the Region (Alola). Which Pokémon game has the best Music in your opinion? Not only, because it has one good track, I want to know the game which has the best Soundtrack. (Spin-Offs count too) For me it is probably BW2, because the Music has a really good Speed (HGSS's is too slow imo, otherwise it would be first place) and it has a big Variety of different styles. Which is yours?
I agree with that, BW/BW2 have great themes, but BW trainer battle theme is in my opinion the blandest battle theme of them all. And the fact that is nearly the most recurring theme in those games doesn't help. I always though that RSE had the best ost overall, but recently I've been more fond of DPP's. The catchiness both of them sport is great, but the way DPP themes set the mood of each route is perfect.
Gonna be super honest, I didn’t like the gen 5 music *at first*. It took me long to realize it was actually really good. That aside, I did like the X/Y music, but I feel there aren’t as many memorable tracks. Gen 7 music was really good, as good as gen 5 music. I haven’t really played completely through gen 1-3 games so I can’t say much about the music. But my favorite soundtrack will always be gen 4.
Gen 5 Have Some Awesome Music Like The Pokémon World Tournament Final And 'Victory Is Before Your Eyes!' And Dragonspiral Tower-But Remix Of Them Make It Better. If You Asked About The Original, I Guess Gen 6 And Gen 7 Got My Vote.
Explorers of the Sky and Red Rescue Team have amazing soundtracks. I could just turn on the sound test and go through the whole thing without much issue.
Yeah, I heard that the PMD games have alot of fans who love the music. I don't know why, because I'm not a fan of it. The music is neat, but Music needs a singing part to be perfect imo. That's why I normally never listen to game soundtracks.
Super Mystery Dungeon. It has a nice combination of tracks from the old PMD titles - which were great in and of themselves - but some AMAZING new themes. Fire Island Volcano is one of my favourite area themes in any video game, period. But on a "one good track" note, Arceus' theme from Guardian Signs is better than Arceus' battle theme in the main series. Without a doubt. I was surprised by how much I liked Ultra Necrozma's battle theme, too...
It sure feels funny to have the exact opposite feeling about something, doesn't it? For me, a person who enjoys listening to game's ost, lyrics in music aren't a determinating part of all pieces. Sometimes it is better to have someone babbling around, sometimes it is not. As for PMD ost... I didn't consider those when analyzing main games' soundtracks. The majority of them are very good, tho.
I remember the Gen3 music the best, partly because (for me) that was Pokémon at its peak, and partly because of Pokémon XD : Gale of Darkness (who, by the way, also has the best boss music in Shadow Lugia), which also had its own great original soundtrack. That said, Gen7 has an awesome soundtrack as well.
Dusk Mane/Dawn Wings Necrozma's music was so intense it caught me off guard immediately. Now that is the kind of impact a legendary Pokémon should have. Ultra Necrozma's music is also very good, so good that I even went and bought GlitchxCity's beautiful remix of it. Also from Sun/Moon: Malie City, the Seafolk Village, and Po Town have themes that I frequently return to. Po Town for very obvious reasons if you know me at all, and Malie/Seafolk for that soothing quality, especially the nighttime versions. And Nanu's theme. Oh, sweet Arceus, Nanu is the coolest character in Pokémon and his music just sells that. And lastly all of the PMD music, but that goes without saying.
I don’t really have the volume on when I play Pokémon games, so I really only remember Lillie’s theme and the sad Unova music. I like both.
Video game music is something that doesn't interest me much at all, including Pokémon OSTs. Most of the time I listen to my own music while playing. That being said, Black and White did have a pretty neat soundtrack even though I have no intention of ever listening to it again. Same goes for RSE and there OSTs.
