Please tell me I'm not the only member here that knows about this amazingly hilarious dub over show !

MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge) is an obstacle course type game show from Japan that aired there during the 90s, originally named Takeshi's Castle. BUT! It was dubbed over and brought to the US (don't know about other countries, let me know!) in 2004 to air on Spike TV. It got a total of 81 episodes, unfortunately having to end it's reign in 2007.

The best part is of course the dubbing, which ignores any real translation and just goes for whatever, often resulting in some of the funniest lines. See below for a video on it.

Lol yeah their commentary throughout the episodes was always great xD Though sometimes it makes me wonder what the original dialogue was.

Oh I remember watching this. I know it as Takeshi's Castle and I don't know if I saw it with this exact dubbing. It was on Bravo for a spell, and I think it was on Challenge too. It's one of those shows I'd sometimes see if I'm flicking through channels on Sky, and features on those obscure "any kind of pg programming goes" satellite channels. Didn't know it was from the '90ies though.

Never heard of this before, but I've always like shows like Total Wipeout, and this is pretty much a hilariously dubbed version, I love it! XD

The original show is, the dubbed version is newer. I didn't know it was on other channels though, thats interesting. Or that it might have had different dubbing.

Wipeout was clearly inspired by this show, with some of the obstacles used, and wacky commentary.

I used to watch MXC all the time when I was... really too young to be watching a show with so much adult humor in it, but the challenges were really fun to watch. :D
