My Competitive Team

Hey everyone,

I thought I'd leave my team here, since I'm pretty sure it could use some improvements here and there:


(Mega)Mawile @Mawilite
Intimidate - Huge Power
Adamant; Max EV in Attack, 1/2 Defense, 1/2 Speed

• Iron Head
• Play Rough
• Swords Dance
• Sucker Punch

My female shiny mega has never disappointed me. She can tank everything (except Fire) and she hits hard. She's definately the base of my team.
- Oh god. Swords Dance. As if Megawile's Attack wasn't high enough. Can you feel the evil? I think I'll fix her EV's to full Attack and Defense when I feel like it.


Froslass @Focus Sash Yanmaga @NothingYet
Snow Cloak Speed Boost
Modest; Max EV in Special Attack and Speed Modest; Max EV in Special Attack and Speed

• Ice Beam Air Slash
• Shadow Ball Bug Buzz
• Thunderbolt AncientPower
• Psychic Roost

One of these is going to have to leave. But I don't know which one. It's true that Yanmega has better stats, but I'm not happy with his moveset. Froslass is the most fragile thing ever, but it has Focus Sash, is freaking fast and can deal some really nice damage in an advantage.


Gallade @Scope Lens
Steadfast
Adamant; Max EV in Attack and Speed

• Night Slash
• Psycho Cut
• Leaf Blade
• Close Combat

Three moves with a high-crit ratio, plus Scope Lens. And Close Combat... Well, we all know how powerful that is.
- Actually, Gallade is pretty solid. He's not incredibly outstanding, but he's great for sure. Maybe Earthquake over Night Slash?


Milotic @Leftovers
Competitive
Modest; Max EV in Special Attack and Special Defense

• Surf
• Ice Beam
• Toxic
• Recover

Just looking at that moveset makes me happy. Milotic, the wall of my team, can just get the poison off, then spam Surf/Ice Beam. Low on HP? Just Recover! Your stats get lowered? Boom, Special Attack boost!
- It just does not have the right nature and EV spread. I really want a Milotic, so eventually, I'll get another one with the right stuff.


Kingdra @Don't Know Yet
Sniper
Modest; Max EV in Special Attack and Speed

• Draco Meteor
• Surf
• Flash Cannon
• Don't Know Yet

Kingdra is a new member, I just have him a couple of days, so he's not all that ready to go, but I really wanted a Dragon on my team.
- As you can see, he's not finished yet. No item, no fourth move. I need to think of that first.

And that sums up my competitive team for now! I really need some suggestions from you guys, I'm quite new to competitive battling, so I don't know everything. But a few things:

• Mawile stays. Period.
• As you can see, I'm more offensive as defensive. I prefer hitting hard over stat-changes and status inflictions. However, you just can't say no to that Milotic moveset.
• I'm super picky about my Pokémon. I use Froslass not for her stats, but because I like using her. I will not use a Pokémon I don't like, no matter how great its stats are. I had a tough time deciding what Dragon I wanted, but eventually, I decided I like Kingdra the most. On the other hand, I don't feel anything for Excadrill, so I'm not really excited for using one.

For the rest, just say whatever you think is best. If you think there's a better replacement for Gallade, please tell me. I can't promise I'll actually use it though...
And I've been dragging on for way too long, so I'll just shut up now
