Original My Heart for the Samurai

Something I did for a music songwriting contest.

My Heart for the Samurai
What I require is love
What I desire is the heavens
sword in my hands
swamped in blood
the lives of my enemies help manifest its powers
caked in a raw steel, topped off with a sharp finish
the samurai sword is brutal when utilised

the samurai is outstanding, when alone like the wolf
mountains call his heart home and his home is yours and yours alone
When the stars shine, so does your soul bright
in all the right places

the end of the world and you
I just want to feel the sword once more
cut me into ribbons
spread throughout the galaxies
and the lore told to my children's children

my mind wavers for the samurai song
the beating is consistent and logical
of my swallowed up mind state
I stare into the mist
and come out a new being
made whole again

Just like my samurai and his sword

so brutal, so technically sound
without a sound, I hear its wrath
on my strings of a violin
forevermore
