I turned on my Xbox and instead of showing the colours it showed it in grayscale, naturally I unplugged every cable and plugged it back in, no change

Slims are black, regulars are white (unless it's a special edition)

Well, if you have any other devices that use component cables, see if they work right and if not, it could be the TV.
On the XBox 360 component cable, check the end that plugs into the 360 and there should be a little switch that you can push that goes from HD to SD, and try adjusting that.

Ooookay, I'mma step in here before things turn too chit-chatty.

As Raptor said, do check your connection cables. I know from my own experience that if I get a greyscale picture it's either due to loose wires e.g. the cable isn't connected fully to your tv and/or your device or I'm using the wrong source. What you also must make sure of too, since you're using component cables is that you've switched to the right channel on your TV. Sometimes a connection can come in one source with just the sound or the picture (usually in black and white).

Depending on your make of TV, your source channel is either gonna be called AV or component. So switch between them if you know how. Foregoing this, what you could also try doing is getting yourself a component to SCART connector. I don't know if they come with Xboxes but I got a few with my Wii and Playstations. Stick the three wires into that and slot the SCART side of the connector into the back of you TV.

If you could describe anything else about the problem you're having, we'd really appreciate that too.

I've got the three Coloured wires into my TV, it's definitely a issue with the Xbox as my Dvd player works fine. I'll nab it's hdmi cable and test it in my Xbox

Fixed, it was the cable not working, now its on HDMI and looking fabulous

@[member="BlackNeko-San"] It's great to hear that you've solved your problem. Though, in future, could I ask that you edit your last reply rather than make a second post straight after one you've made already? I've since merged your two posts.
