Naming your mother?

Probably my own mom's name, or something childishly obscene like Rottencrotch or Fetusqueezer or something.

 

I'm not sure what I would name the mother character in the games.
Although with how I usually name my characters in any game, I would probably just pick the first name that pops into mind at that point.

 

I'd probably just name her "MOM", in all caps and all.
I always chuckled at the "Sent some to MOM!" in G/S/C

 

I probably wouldn't give her a name. Like Slugkid, I would call her "Mom" It would feel weird if my real moms name was in the game

My own Mom's name. I know, I'm really boring.

 

I'd just name her after my real mother.

Although I think that its be a strange feature to have. Most people call their mother "Mom", "mother", etc, rather than by her real name. Also, you don't really talk to your mother much in the games so her name wouldn't come up much anyways.

Contrary to all of you, I would call her "Mum".

 

It looks like other people have said this, but I think I'd just call her "Mom" or "Mother" or something.

 

I prefer it saying Mum, its easier

 

Maybe I'd give her a cool name so there isn't the constant presence of a mother, but maybe somebody you could consider a caretaker or housekeeper.

Unless, of course, the game would constantly remind the player that it's the mother.

 

I'd feel weird if I named her after my own mother. I think I'll just put Mama instead. It makes it feel more homey to me. That or MOTHER. It's kinda funny if it says "MOTHER is calling you" or "Gave some money to MOTHER" or "MOTHER wants to battle!"....

....I would really want to battle my in game mother.

I'd probably name her Mom or Mum. But if I were to do a less serious playthrough, I'd name her Dad just to be different.

But seriously though that is a tad weird for me...^^; I'd understand the rival but mother?

 

I don't think I'd name my mother anything, really. Just feels weird to name your mother in Pokémon your real mother's name.

"Sent some to Diane!" Not my real mother's name, but it's an example. Sounds more like you're sending it to a friend.

Then that friend could steal your money and spend it on Pokeroids to spike that Machamp even more...
