It was a simple day in the town of Petal as a young boy named Neil was headed to the local Pokémon center to start his journey. He just knew that great experiences awaited him.
It was a fine morning in Vaniville Town, Sylvia was getting ready to go to the Pokémon lab of Professor Sycamore to receive her starter Pokémon and begin her journey as a Pokémon trainer.
Along the way, Neil got a little too excited, thus he wound up running into Sylvia without realizing where he was going. He then backed up and uttered, "Hey, watch where you're-" staring at her wide-eyed.
"There's no need for you to run, okay?!" Sylvia shouted while adjusting the strap of her pink backpack(same as Serena's). Sylvia, seeing that this yellow-brown haired boy is staring at her, snapped her fingers in front of his face. "What? Why are you staring at me?"
"Wierd guy." Sylvia whispered to herself before walking on her way. *At the lab* "Hey, uncle! I'm here!" Sylvia cheerfully said while opening the door of the lab. But to her surprise, Neil was there too. "You?" Sylvia walked towards Neil who was sitting on the couch of her uncle's (the professor who is Sylvia's uncle) house's living room.
Neil stared silently for a few seconds, but before he could freak out, the professor had already entered the room, saying, "Oh, wonderful. You're already here."
Sylvia waves hi to the professor before sitting on the couch on which Neil was sitting. A pillow was the distance between them. Sylvia asked to her uncle, "Who's he?" She pointed to Neil.
"We did?" Sylvia asked. "Yes." the professor replied. Sylvia said, "I have a bad memory. Anyways, hi. I'm Sylvia." Sylvia faced Neil and put her hand forward expecting a handshake from the yellow head.
Neil stared and had no idea how to answer that, the professor saying, “Alright, the Pokémon are ready.”
Sylvia stood up from the couch and walked towards her uncle. "I wanna see that cutie. Where's mine? I wonder if you remember which Pokémon I want, don't you?"
Sylvia jumped in happiness and took the Pokéball from her uncle's hand saying, "Thanks a bunch!" On the other hand, Neil got curious to know which Pokémon Sylvia got. Hesitatingly, Neil stood up and walked towards Sylvia till he was a footstep away from her and said, "Sly-Sylvia, can I see your Pokémon?" Sylvia looked at him before nodding.
Neil: I hesitatingly asked Sylvia about her starter Pokémon and Sylvia nodded with a smile. I heard her say 'Come out, Fenn!' before she threw her Pokéball in the air and, boom! A cute little Fennekin poped out of the Pokéball. It jumped on the floor and said 'Fenn'. It is so cute. * Sylvia, seeing her Fennekin, ran and hugged it tight. "Awe~ you are so cute!!" But, Fennekin ran out of her arms straight towards the professor. "Huh?" Sylvia and Neil said.
