It was a rather peaceful night when Neil was on his motorcycle, headed to the mansion of a young Aria. He and his partner, Coraline, had been friends with her for years. And when he arrived, he got off the cycle and looked at his watch, thinking, 'Alright, let's see if she remembered the address this time.'
Coraline was on her bike and was unsure of the address and knew she'd have to confess it. Neil had been her partner for a while and loves the times where he could say told you so but she had to own up. She called Neil's phone knowing he'd already be there. "Pick up Neil," she muttered. She hated confessing she needed help. Especially since her dead best friend loved to rub it in her face
Coraline groaned and sighed into the phone. "If I say yes are you going to give me the told you so lecture and remind me about writing things down?"
With that, the two came to the door as a butler stood there with a demon mask on, Neil tensing up and gasping, "OH MY GOD!" the man removing the mask and chuckling, saying, "I knew it was you, master Neil," the man sighing, "Nice to see you too, Winston."
Winston smiled and said, "That is a rather nice mask, Neil, and very ironic for one so easily scared of a mask. I find it quite fitting," as Neil grumbled, "That wasn't the intention," as the man stepped to the side and directed them toward the entrance.
Coraline smirked and made fun of Neil by imitating his scared jump. "Yeah Neil let's go!" She walked in calmly
Soon enough, they were inside as Aria stood before them with a butterfly mask on, Neil asking, "Oh, who could that be?" though he was mainly being playful. However, Aria did not seem to notice as she gasped, "Oh no, is the mask too convincing!?" Neil sighing, "I know it's you, Aria," the girl breathing a sigh of relief and saying, "Thank goodness. Though Neil, I'm surprised you didn't choose something more convincing?" the man thinking, 'But this mask hides my face!'
Aria led them to the refreshments and said, "Make yourselves at home. I need to talk to Daddy real quick, okay?"
Coraline nodded and sat quietly on the chair. "I wonder why Aria needed us." She was curious to her needs
Neil blinked and said, "I'd be more surprised if she didn't invite us here," looking around at the other guests and uttering, "Though I swear, I feel like an outcast. Everyone else here is just as loaded as Aria and her family," thus he went to the punch bowl and poured himself a glass, taking a sip.
Coraline looked at him amused. "Yeah? I'm not exactly loaded. I'm not one of the poorer people in the world but I'm not in Aria's class," she retorted.
