It was a typical day of school when Neil was on his way to classes. He took a deep breath and thought, 'Another boring day,' hoping something exciting would happen.
Corrin sighed as she sat in her desk, looking out of her window as she fiddled with a lock of her hair. She didn't know what posessed her to come early that day, but whatever it was, she regretted it. The class was very nearly empty, with everyone either haven't arrived yet or simply out in the grounds
Neil entered the classroom and took his seat. How strange. He had never seen Corrin before despite them being in the same class. Though considering he had no friends, it was not too strange.
Corrine perked up when she saw a boy enter the class. Finally, another person! It quickly turned to disappointment when she realized she didn't know the person, but she shoved the emotion away. So what if he was a stranger. She was bored out of her mind here! So the girl headed over, a smile on her face as she did so. "Hey, my name's Corrin! What's yours?"
Corrin raised an eyebrow as she giggled. "Yup! So aren't you going to tell me your name?" She asked, fixing the other teen with a questioning look.
"Sorry," Neil uttered, "It's just, no one ever wants to talk to a loser like me," thinking, 'Oh, come on, you might actually get a friend! Stop trying to turn her away!' As such, he cleared his throat and said, "Neil," holding out his hand.
Corrin was sorely tempted to ask Neil why he considered himself a loser, but kept herself in check. Instead, she took his hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you Neil!" (When will they enter the Digimon world?)
(Just wait. I got something in mind) Neil smiled lightly and said, "Very nice to meet you," looking at the time and saying, "You know, we still got ten minutes. Wanna see something I've been working on in my spare time?"
(Alright!) Corrin blinked, but soon began smiling again. "Sure! Lead the way then!" She was excited and curious, wondering just what this little project was.
Neil led her to the computer lab and turned it on, opening up a rather complex file as he said, "I've always had a theory that other worlds exist. My goal is to find a way to link our world to another."
Corrin tilted her head as she peered over Neil's shoulder to look at the computer's screen. Code zipped across it, random numbers and letters that made no sense to her, but probably did to Neil. "That's..." Strange? Unbelievable? "Interesting." She ended lamely. "Have you made any progress?" She asked, curious despite herself.
"Well, I'm not completely sure, but I think I might be," Neil uttered as he looked over his most recent passage and uttered, "I just need to figure out what comes after..." His eyes widened as he gasped, "I think I got it!" typing in a key when suddenly, the screen went blank. Neil stared silently when suddenly, the screen lit up and a beam of light shot out, pulling both into the computer. Suddenly, both appeared in the middle of a forest.
Corrin barely had the time to cry out as she was enveloped in a bright, almost blinding light. She felt herself being shattered into pieces as she entered the computer, yet it didn't hurt. The pieces of code materialized itself in the middle of the forest. Corrin blinked as she took in her surroundings. "...Neil? Where are we?"
Neil blinked and looked around, saying, "Um, I wish I could tell you. This makes no sense." His eyes widened when he suddenly noticed a strange device latched to his side. He picked it up and asked, "Where did this come from?"
Corrin wa scolded to panicking when Niel drew her attention to a strange device lying on the ground in front of them. Two in fact. As Neil picked one up, she took the other, glad for the distraction. It was some kind of portable device, which was a pretty sky blue color. Corrin turned it this way and that, examining it from every angle. "I don't know. Never saw this before."
Neil pressed a button on it only for nothing to appear as he asked, "Is it broken?" shaking it around when suddenly, a light shone out and pointed toward an area where a blob and a head were fleeing from a large stag beetle.
Corrin had been shaking her own device, and when Neil's device suddenly shone she nearly dropped her's, fumbling with it. In her carelessness she pressed a button on it and a beam of light shone out her own device, pointing to what looked to be a round, purple head fleeing from a stag beetle. She felt sorry for the creatures and a sudden desire to protect them overcame her. The girl rushed after them, device in hand. "Hey! Stop! Don't hurt them!"
