    Hello everybody who is reading this topic. Lately I have been reading a lot of topics involving the 'locke' challenges and I decited that I would give it a shot.

    This topic will serve as documentation for my playthrough.
    I will be playing on my Pokémon X game. And I will be attempting the Nuzlocke challenge.

    Maybe in the future I will try more difficult challenges, but I wanted to start with this one to get a feeling of how it works.

    I just resetted my game and I'm ready to start. I don't know how often I will be updating, but I will keep it as detailed as I can.

    I start out as a female called Celestia and my starter Pokémon is a male Froakie called Azurr.

    The challenge starts now! Wish me luck <3

    Oh yeah, I forgot. Here are the rules I will be following;

    - If a Pokémon faints, it's considered dead and must be released
    - I can only capture the first Pokémon I encounter in a route, if I fail, then to bad
    - No trading
    - Nickname every Pokémon
    - No healing in battles
    - Everytime I earn a badge I'm allowed to visit the Pokécenter 3 times (I start with 3 visits as well)
    - Battle type to 'set' so I can't switch out my Pokémon during battle
    - My Pokémon can't be a higher level than the Pokémon of the Gym leader I need to beat

    I think that's it.

    I would like to note, that the healing rules are not considered manditory, so you are actually making this harder. If you suceed, then that should be a major confidence boost. If you don't, then don't let it bother you. Good luck with the Nuzlocke.

    Today I started the Nuzlocke challenge and boy, did I underestimate it. It is a lot harder than I thought it would be. BUT, I managed to get my first badge, not without some lossed though. Here's what happened from the beginning;

    Not one day in my new home in Vaniville Town and I get invited to start an adventure with my very own Pokémon. I met up with a couple of kids called Calem, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor.
    Trevor handed me my first Pokémon. It was a male Froakie. I called him Azurr and I hoped that he would be by my side for the rest of this adventure. I also received a Pokédex from Tierno.

    After receiving our Pokémon, Shauna challenged me to a battle. She had a Fennekin and my Azurr beat it very quickly. Next I went to my mother, explaining that I would go on a adventure, she wished me luck.
    After that I met up with Calem and he showed us how to catch Pokémon.
    This is where the real adventure started.

    The first Pokémon I encountered on route 2 was a male Bunnelby Lv 3. It wasn't hard to catch the little guy. I named him Bugs Bunny. He had the ability Pick Up and was holding a Nugget. Lucky me!

    Next I went to Santalune Forest where I met up with Shauna, together we would go through the forest. The first Pokémon I encountered in this forest was a female Weedle Lv 2. Again I had no trouble catching the little bug Pokémon and named her Beezzy.
    I decited to train the Pokémon I had with me in the forest by batteling wild Pokémon and the trainers.

    I encountered a wild Pansage and Bugs Bunny was its opponent. But I overestimated my Bunnelby and after taking to many scratches, he lost his life.
    Next was Beezzy, I thought I would train her against weaker wild Pokémon. But when we encountered a wild Fletchling who had a higher level, Beezzy wasn't able to escape and got hit with a critical Tackle, also loosing it's life in the progress.

    All I had left was my Azurr who faired better in the battles in the forest.
    I got to the end of the forest and met up with my friends again.
    Next was route 3 where I caught a Fletchling Lv 3. I named him Feather. Feather was more than capable in a battle and he quickly gained levels.

    When I reached Santalune City, I used my first Pokécenter heal (2 left) and went on to route 22 to train. On route 22 I caught a female Litleo Lv 6, I called her Lionessa. I trained some more and used my second Pokécenter heal (1 left) before challeging the gym.

    My team contained these Pokémon;
    Lionessa Lv 8
    moves; Tackle, Leer, Ember, Work Up
    Ability; Unnerve
    Azurr Lv 11
    moves; Pound, Lick, Bubble, Quick Attack
    Ability; Torrent
    Feather Lv 11
    moves; Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Peck
    Ability; Big Pecks

    The highest level of the gym leaders' Pokémon was Lv 12, so I was good to go.

    Lionessa cleared away all the trainers in the gym and leveled up to Lv 11.
    When I got to the leader I sent Lionessa out first, but I quickly switched her when the opponents Surskit used Water Sport. I switched her with Feather. When Feather entered the battle, he was hit with a critical Bubble, but he managed to survive. He managed to defeat the Surskit with only 3 HP left.
    When Vivillon entered I switched Feather with Azurr, Azurr got a Tackle for that, but it didn't do to much damage. Azurr spent two turns trying to paralyze the Vivillon with Lick without luck. When his HP got lowered to only 2, I wanted to switch him out, but that was impossible because of Infestation. With a last Quick Attack Azurr fell in battle.
    I sent out Lionessa and in 2 Embers she defeated the Vivillon and leveled up to Lv 13. Feather also leveled up to Lv 12.

    After receiving the Badge I received 3 Pokécenter visits. That meant I had now 4. But I used one right after exiting the gym (3 left).

    And that concludes my first journey entry. I hope I made it a little interesting to read, I could use some feedback.
    See you in the next journey entry. Bye bye.

    Not much has happened since I suffered some losses again. It made me too sad to play without a break. I have not managed to get the second badge, but I did make my way to Camphrier Town.
    Here's what happened to get there;

    On route 4 I encountered a female Skitty, I managed to capture her and named her Felina. Then when I got to Lumiose City I used a Pokécenter heal (2 left).
    I also met the professor, he challenged me to a battle. But it wasn't very hard, my Lionessa defeated all his Pokémon on her own.
    Because I won, I got to choose a Pokémon. I choose Bulbasaur and named him Vinero.

    With my new Pokémon I set out to route 5 where I was challenged by my friend Tierno. My Vinero won against his Pokémon.

    Then disaster struck. I encountered a trainer who had a Kadabra. That Kadabra killed two of my Pokémon. Vinero and Lionessa lost their lives in that battle. I was so sad because I lost them that I needed a break.

    Then I went on and encountered a Pancham on route 5. I caught her and named her Koala.

    Next I arrived at Camphrier Town without any more losses.

    And this entails my second journey entry. I had a huge setback, because I was quite attached to Lionessa (RIP). For my next entry I will try to obtain the second badge.

    Peace out.

    This is what happened next;

    There was a Snorlax blocking the route, so I had to go and retrieve the Poké Flute which was located in the castle.
    I went there and had to look for a Furfrou. When I found the little guy with the help of Shauna, I recieved the Poké Flute.
    On route 8 I caught a male Venipede which I called Venom.

    And then my adventure ended. I was challenging all the trainers on route 8 when I encountered a couple who had 2 Furfrou's. They completely destroyed my team. Even Feather who had evolved was no match for the duo.

    So I had no Pokémon left :(

    BUT I WON'T GIVE UP!!!!

    I will start again right now!

    But this time I'm going to make it a little easier for myself. I'm going to remove the 3 Pokécenter heal rule. So that I can visit the Pokécenter when I need to. The rest of the rules will be the same.
    I underestimated the challenge, won't happen again. And this time, I'm going to succeed!

    Wish me luck :)

    Restarted my adventure as a male called Neko. And this time, I'm going to see it throught to the end.
    I got to choose my first Pokémon, it was a female Chespin. I called her Rose.

    Me and Rose started our adventure together, but our team was quickly expanded when we encountered a female Fletching Lv 2 on route 2. I caught her and nicknamed her Winx.
    In Santalune Forest I caught a male Scatterbug Lv 3. He was the first encounter and I named him Dusty.
    When we arrived at route 3, I was able to catch a male Bidoof Lv 3, which I called Renny.

    I trained my team a bit and Dusty evolved into a Spewpa at Lv 9.

    Then I went to route 22 to train even further. On route 22 I caught a female Psyduck, which I called Misty.

    Then I went to challenge the first gym with this team;

    - A male Spewpa called Dusty, Lv 10
    moves; Tackle, String Shot, Stun Spore, Protect
    ability; Shed Skin
    Docile nature

    - A female Psyduck called Misty, Lv 10
    moves; Water Sport, Scratch, Tail Whip, Water Gun
    ability; Damp
    Lonely nature

    - A male Bidoof called Renny, Lv 10
    moves; Tackle, Growl, Defence Curl
    ability; Unaware
    Gentle nature

    - A female Fletchling called Winx, Lv 12
    moves; Tackle, Growl, Quick Attack, Peck
    ability; Big Pecks
    Serious nature

    - A female Chespin called Rose, Lv 11
    moves; Tackle, Bite, Vine Whip, Rollout
    ability; Overgrow
    Quirky nature

    The trainers in the gym were no match for my team, but the leader managed to defeat one of my Pokémon. Renny lost his life in that battle.

    After winning the badge I went on to route 4. There I caught a female Skitty Lv 8 and named her Pantera.

    When training, Dusty evolved into a Vivillon at Lv 12.

    In Lumiose City I battled the professor, I won and received a Charmander. I named him Nagito. Rose, my Chespin, also evolved at Lv 16.

    On route 5 I caught a male Furfrou Lv 8 and called him Onyx.

    While training Winx evolved into a Fletchinder at Lv 17, and Nagito evolved into a Charmeleon at Lv 16.

    On route 6 I encountered a male Espurr Lv 12, which I caught and nicknamed him Purrrzo. I then encountered the trainers that destroyed me last time. But this time I was better prepared, I beat them without a loss.

    I switched Dusty for Purrrzo and with this team I defeated the Snorlax on route 7, failing to catch him.

    And so I have caught up to last time, next entry will include a more detailed explination.
    This time I was more patient and took my time training my team, that's why I did so much better this time. I have a good feeling about this.

    Love Neko
