New 3DS

    you heard Nintendo, a new 3DS model is on the way, now with the name New 3DS. I am worried about Nintendo's naming skills here.

    the handhold is just like the old 3DS but have brighter screen and the standard version is bigger than the standard 3DS, also it now features a ZR and a ZL button and a small c stick on the right side. It also seems that it will get exclusive games such as Xenoblade 3DS version. what are you guys thoughts on this?

    in my case I think it is a cheap move from Nintendo if that is the case. the 3DS haven't been on the market for that long and if the New 3DS can run game that the 3DS can't I must be honest to say I feel disappointed. In some few years it would have been great, but not right now.

    Nintendo must be really desperately in need of money. My 3DS still feels like new, so I'm definitely not getting one. At least not for the coming year.

    Hm, maybe I'll get one, if they're released soon enough, maybe not. I need a new 3DS anyway, so it really depends on the price. If the prices aren't too high, I might get one.

    the handhold might come to the US and Europe somewhere next year, but it's been stated we won't get to see it this year.
    also after reading some more news about the new 3ds from other websites it seems like it might not have exclusive titles, but more likely just disabled features to the games instead which also sucks. in that way I am still disappointed of this move, but less if it would have exclusive titles

    I actually think it's pretty nice, and it's just perfect because my current 3DS is so wrecked already from my clumsy handling and needs to be replaced soon.

    I'm back on the hate train as it really might have exclusive titles due to the fact it got more CPU and power than a normal 3DS. I feel really down with this news, so now I both have to scrape money for a new 3ds, wii u and a vita? fuck my financial life )':

    You know, the Circle Pad Pro has the second stick, as well as the ZL and ZR buttons IIRC...

    As for the extra processing power, I don't see why they can't just do something like disable 3D for the new games on older models. From what I understand, the system processes the 3D effects even in 2D, and that eats up a lot of power on its own.

    (Of course, I could be misunderstanding how this thing works... And since I already have Xenoblade for the Wii, I don't see a reason to buy the port.)

    I love the new 3DS, they look awesome. I really like that you can change the design . It's too bad the circle pad pro won't work with Super Smash Bros, It would have been pretty cool using it.

    Just had been like on the internet, checking out a comparison video of the old 3DS XL and the New 3DS XL side by side, then I noticed that the newer model runs the games more faster than the older ones. It was pretty mind blowing, so by next Friday, I'm getting the new one and transfer all my stuff over to the new handheld.

    It's worth the $250 I'm gonna spend on it next week, so yeah.

    I bet at least one of my friends will have the new model in the next few months. I have just an original 3DS, which has served me just fine, and I intend to stick with it.

    It looks really nice and it can even activate Amiibo's.

    But I already have a 3DS, so I'll stick to that.

    I wonder if ithe N3DS has something special for the Pokémon Series...

    Definitely getting it. The C sick will be great for Smash, and the better specs mean I can play Pokémon in 3d without severe frame drops =]

    I'm pretty stoked for the new 3DS models!

    My fiance and I both have 3DSXL's. I will be getting the new standard 3DS though. It's gonna be like my travelling system I suppose? Not to mention the customization on it! All those pretty shells~

    It doesn't have a very creative name. XD In all seriousness, it is pretty interesting, but I liked the concept of the 2DS more.

    It would be a pain if every 3DS games from now on was only for the New 3DS :|
