New 'Dragon Ball Super' anime begins airing in July

    News just in! A brand-new, Toriyama-backed Dragon Ball anime premieres this July, making it the first time in nearly twenty years that the superpowered fighting series returns to the small screen that wasn't a remaster/rehash of previously released content and is not a movie/ova.

    In light of this news, what do you think will happen to DBGT? Are you excited for this? I certainly am! Hah.

    Hopefully Dragon Ball GT won't exist. I am extremely excited from this news; DBZ was my first ever anime and I would love to see the series finally continue.

    I'm super excited! I love the Dragon Ball series, and it's nice to see how things went after the DBZ events. I don't really acknowledge GT as part of the series since it was horrific. Hopefully by following the manga, the Dragon Ball franchise went continue to be glorious.

    I don't know how to feel about this. I love Dragon Ball and I guess it's a great way to reunite with fans and draw in new consumers, but... GT... and I don't know how good the last few movies have been (let's just forget Dragonball Evolution ever existed, mmkay?). It's great that Toriyama is backing it, but isn't it time to just let Dragon Ball go into the past, as a once-great relic of the past? Like the pyramids. You don't see people try to build Great Pyramids nowadays.

    Anyway, I digress. I do want to see this new Dragon Ball series even though I think they should just put Dragon Ball to rest. plus it means more parody content for TeamFourStar I wonder if this new series will tie into the likes of Battle of Gods and its sequel.

    Well, I thought I was the only one who screamed at work, when I heard this. I guess not.
    I love the thought of another arc, although I know it won't be as long as the original series.

    First off, according to Anime News Network This thing is gonna have 100 episodes and will be linked to the latest film. Next, we have some new characters;

    So I've just finished ep 2, and honestly I'm really happy on how their life is beginning to change.
    Trunks and Goten are like the best bffs. I mean these dorks are so sweet. Chi-chi is still strongest in the universe. She's got Goku whipped!
    I still love Vegeta. I mean the dude takes going underwater and threw an entire forest on top of a plane like it's nothing. I also love his family. Best family.

    I honestly love these cute little moments, and I can't wait to see what this series has in store!
