Lycanroc will be getting a new Z Move in USUM. The move is called Radial Edge Storm. To use it you need the move stone edge on your Lycanroc. It has a secondary effect that removes all terrains. (Electric Terain, Grassy Terrain etc) Also this move works with all Lycanroc forms not just Dusk. Also to get a Dusk form Lycanroc you must have a Rockruff with the ability Own Tempo and evolve it at 5:00 pm to 5:59 pm at level 25.
Lycanroc is becoming the Greninja of the Alola Region at this rate.... Glad to know it isn't going to be an event Pokémon exclusive though, and rather an in game special condition evolution. I wonder if there will be other evolutions for other future Pokémon that will have an hour long time frame.
Really like the name. RADICAL EDGE STORM @❀Bloom❀ Only the Event Rockruff has Own Tempo, none of the wild Rockruff can evolve into Dusk. So it is still a Event Only evolution.
Yeah, but who knows they might end up replacing one of its prior abilities with it, sort of like they did with basculin in a sense(although I know it has three abilities normally)
Ah, I didn't know that. I wonder if Own Tempo will be like Greninja's Battle Bond and wont be able to be passed down through breeding...
There is also the chance that you could randomly encounter one whilst doing a SOS chain, otherwise yeah it would suck, especially since it is shiny locked
Looks like it's only called Radial Edge Storm in Japan. Everywhere else it's called Splintered StormShards. Also depending on which game you have you will get a different Rockruff. Ultra Sun has Tackle, Bite, Fire Fang, and Happy Hour and Ultra Moon has Tackle, Bite, Thunder Fang, and Happy Hour.
Knowing that I'm glad I got the event Lycanroc before since it has it's hidden ability, I'm unlucky when it comes to SOS chains.
One of my favoriteparts of its new Z move, is that it has the trainer ordering the final blow, those really appeal to me for some reason. It is a little lame that it won't be eaiser to get ahold of, but it is what it is.
Radical. First disco ball Elvis, then 'Radical'. Is this 'alternate universe' just a timeline where saying 'groovy' is current? (no offense, sorry) The Greninja Paradox: Where something is popular, then it is overhyped and becomes a hated, despicable MONSTER. #MissingNo
In terms of the new Z-moves, I like them because the are "Mega-Stone Esk" because If you run the said mons using the Z-moves as their item is hard too pass off because the are good..... Sometimes too good This is why I'm Megas > ZStones. Megas make a mon good overall were ZStones make a mon good based on one move OU won't bat an eye at Lycanroc once its ZMove is banned. So it will just say in the same position it already was in, useless to the non-VGC competitive eye.
It looks nice for a casual playthrough. But I don't really use Z-moves, so that is not a bother to me.
