About 6 hours ago (relative to this topic's creation time), VIZ Media unveiled a brand-new Pokémon manga title coming to the west, Pokémon Horizon. This manga already existed in Japan, appearing in various issues of the CoroCoro magazine, as well has having two volumes released in book form.

The manga follows protagonist Akira and his Rockruff on their journey through the Alola region. Akira's Rockruff is special in the fact that the centre-most stone on his collar is bright pink. The manga is written and drawn by Tenya Yabuno, who's known for other works such as Inazuma Eleven, Inazuma Eleven Go, and Digimon Adventure: V-Tamer 01.

In addition to this, the first volume of the Pokémon Adventures: Sun and Moon manga was announced for the west. Pokémon Adventures: Sun and Moon, also known as Pokémon Special: Sun Moon, uses the same story as that of the Pokémon Sun and Moon video games, but with a different perspective. Follow Sun, a courier from Kanto who aims to collect 100 million yen, and Moon, a pharmacist from Sinnoh that traveled to Alola to deliver a Rotom to Professor Kukui, as they take on the island challenge, and discover the mysteries of the Alola region. The manga is written by Hidenori Kusaka, who has been writing the Pokémon Adventures manga since it's debut, and illustrated by Satoshi Yamamoto, who has been the manga's head artist since Volume 10.
