I named my Primarina Fortissimo. I know someone who had a Scizor named Rose, which he later bred and named her son Thorn. Both of them are terrifying, especially after Thorn came along and mega evolution was added.
Neither of those species are in the Catcher, so I haven't a clue what you're talking about. I haven't really been hunting around to look for good nicknames, since most of the names I know are my own. One of them, though, I got as an idea for Baroque Grimoire, who mentioned that Alolan Dugtrio looks exactly like Charlie's Angels. I agreed completely with him, and thus, my Alolan Dugtrio is named "Charlie's Angels".
Most of the nicknames that really stuck out to me are names with bad puns or references to memes. I am a sucker for bad puns and memes. XD
I saw a Volcarona named Sharona. Now everytime I say the word Volcarona I say it to the tune of 'My Sharona' by The Knack.
