    I usually nickname my Pokémon with their Romanji-Japanese names...

    Example:
    Milotic - Milokaross
    Bronzong - Dootakun
    Jolteon - Thunders
    Charizar - Lizardon

    If I've two Pokémon of the same species like Unfezant (male and female)... One is nicknamed Kenhallow (male) and the other have her original name (Unfezant [Female])

    I nickname all my Pokémon...
    Although I do run out of names to call them...So I usually randomly choose a word, phrase, or something that comes to mind.
    I guess my favorite names are:

    Absol - "Amy,"
    Woobat - "JiggyPiggy,"
    Mightyena - "Shadow,"
    Oshawott - "Wottshawa,"
    Gyarados - "Blarg."

    Sometimes I spend too much time thinking about nicknames :U

    On Emerald my team so far is:

    Crimson the Volbeat
    Molten the Numel
    Injection the Seviper

    I tried to think of a deadly name for Seviper, and I wanted Volbeat's name to be something to do with the colour red. Numel I had no idea for, so in the end I stuck with Molten, as in molten lava.

    Same here, but I usually think of something somewhat decent eventually.

    I always nickname the Pokémon on my team. I just get really attached to them so giving them names just makes it more personal, like they are really MY Pokémon, not just any Charizard or whatever. I don't nickname legendaries, though, since they are the only ones of their kind anyway. And they seem way too "human" (you know, how they can often speak in movies etc.) for me to change their name.

    I usually use names that are related to the Pokémon or its type. Often they are foreign words or names since I'm a language freak anyway :P

    I always nickname my Pokémon if I can. I love coming up with nicknames, whether they fit or not. If I'm making a team I usually try to choose a theme for their nicknames, whether it's Greek names, or types of rocks, or anything like that.

    A few of my favorite nicknames are Skyradient the Rayquaza, Helios the Volcarona, Elshinou the Giratina, Kaiserin the Empoleon, and Kratos the Hydreigon.

    I used to nickname my Pokémon after obscure-ish comic book characters (Obsidian the Honchcrow, Jade the Roselia, Slapstick the Mr. Mime). Then I switched to giving them either people names I thought fit them (Amelia the Drifblim, Natasha the Galvantula, Ricardo the Seismitoad) or punny names (Ribberto the Toxicroak, Totes the Totodile).

    In my Black 2 game, however, I decided to nickname my Pokémon according to a theme: European cities. So far I have:
    Prague the male Pignite
    Paris the female Liepard
    Glasgow the male Herdier
    Milan the female Leavanny
    Krakow the Magnemite
    Odessa the female Sandile
    Zaragoza the male Sigilyph

    I'm having fun with it, so I'm sure this theme will continue.

    I usually nickname the Pokémon I use on my team. I don't nickname all the other ones.
    I choose names that somewhat resemble the Pokémon. For example, my team in White:
    Shu (Serperior) which means prince
    Erminia (Mienshao) from ermine
    Cherry (Chandelure) because of the "Ch" at the beginning of the name and because cherries are red like fire
    Sansa (Hydreigon) because san means three in Japanese, and Hydreigon has three heads
    Yakuza (Krookodile) because of the criminal organization
    Mirmo (Simipour) because Simipour reminds me of this

    I always nickname my Pokémon. For me, nicknames make said Pokémon special and different from other Pokémon of it's species. I remember back when I first started playing Pokémon, I never nicknamed them, but that changed when I thought it'd be cool to have my Pokémon be special by giving them names.

    I tend to use objects around me, books or other languages for idea's on my nicknaming.

    My old Black 2 team -

    Apollo the Pignite - Apollo's the greek god of the sun and the name fit him pretty good.
    Neptune the Psyduck - Neptune is the roman god of the sea and the name made my psyduck sound stronger.
    Ceres the Leavanny - Ceres is the roman goddess of agriculture and it's a cute name.
    Nike the Lucario - Nike is the greek goddess of strengh and I believe it fits a Lucario/Riolu better then Dream or Aura.
    Banafrit the Eevee - I don't remember what this name means, but Bana is supposed to be the reancarnation of my dead Umbreon character.
    Hermes the Tranquil - Hermes is the greek god of travel and the gods messanger. Lol, this was the first name that came to mind when I catch this fella.

    As you can see, i'm going through a strange naming phase right now.

    Gen 2 - Ariados > Web

    Gen 3 - Ninjask > Ninja

    Gen 4 - Yanmega > Draco

    Well, I nickname them sometimes, especially if they're going to be on a certain team together... Usually, I search up Latin root words, but if I can't, I go with general ones.

    Roserade = Amorra

    More general ones

    Chandelure = Shandelle
    Espeon = Sunrise
    Umbreon = Midnight
    Milotic = Millie
    Haxorus = Bassanio
    Serperior = Illarion

    A lot of my Mons that have sentimental value have nicknames...

    I don't. Personally, I don't see the point outside of personalizing a Pokémon you like. That, and ensuring a Pokémon you transfer from a previous Gen over to Gen 5 isn't in all caps (I'd rather not see "SALAMENCE" as if I'm screaming it's name all the time). I just... don't do it. :|

    I don't nickname. Too many Pokémon and too many names to think of. I'd feel bad if one was nicknamed and rest weren't or vise versa. Not to mention I'll never learn the newest generation of names if I don't have them staring me in the face throughout the whole game.

    Plus, renaming because your Pokémon evolved is a bitch.

    I don't nickname mine, but for two.

    Golduck-Azuplat: Honestly, Golduck is not gold, it's blue. I used azure for that part of the name. And it certainly is not a duck. It is a platypus in every respect.

    Lickilicky-Tungslash: Lickilicky is a bad name to start with, and I saw this picture of what someone's dad thought the names of the original 151 were. Lickitung was called Tungslash, and I'll be damned if that's not a better name.

    On Crystal, I nicknamed any Pokémon I bred with 'jr' attached to their name in lower case.

    I almost always nickname any, that I'm going to actually use. Some of my favorites are:

    Mambo - Buizel; taken from Happily N'Ever After, because I was just out of nicknames and I did like that character. Mambo's become my signature Pokémon.

    CT (Corpsetaker) - (shiny)Hydreigon; named simply because I thought it sounded cool.

    Naagloshii - Zoroark; because the Naagloshii (based on Native Americon folklore) was a shapeshifter.

    Naga - Blaziken; Naga = ghost pepper = very hot.

    Hysminai(currently Zee or Ziggy) - Infernape; spirits of combat.

    Gunpowder/Ahti - Nidoking; originally from Team Tea, re-named Ahti, since I mostly give him ice/water moves.

    Karima - Leavanny; Karima is my favorite side character, in Borderlands 2.

    I love nicknaming my Pokémon! My favorite is Cappuccino the Cinccino; I like doing food themes.

    My White 2 team right now is Cappuccino the Cinccino, Udon the Milotic, Red Velvet the Latias, Cilantro the Leavanny, Glace the Glaceon, and Gateau the Chandelure

    I nickname all of my Pokémon, besides the ones caught for natures/ items/ etc and that will get released.
    Everything else always gets a super dumb name most often based on food or random items. Whatever that floats the boat really.
