I think its time we talk about Nintendo's business management.

As we all know, Nintendo is just getting to their feet after a year of bad sales. Good thing that Nintendo can go with this kind of income for 52 years and still be fine.

But there is an issue that has been grinding my gears.

Nintendo does not know what they are doing anymore... Well Nintendo Japan does not.
We all know for a fact that Nintendo does fishy thing when it comes to YouTubers making Nintendo content and all the "Japan-only" Releases and events. They are hurting their business.

I want to talk about WiiU's flaws now.
Do you know why WiiU had bad start? It was because they lacked 3rd party support. WiiU is needlessly too complicated and weak in terms of processing power for games that sell, like Call of duty and Assassin's Creed for example. WiiU was designed for 1st party games and for them only, others just tried to get on board to the WiiU ship. Also Nintendo did not have games for WiiU at launch, thus Failing even though it was the firs Next gen console.
    Poor business choices i say.

Then to games, events and YouTube

I understand that localizing events is much easier than doing stuff worldwide, but with their resources, they ARE more than able to do these. Well why are they not doing them then? Simple. Nintendo has lost their sight how big Nintendo AND social media has become, as we see with the YouTube issue. Nintendo is claiming everything Nintendo related on YouTube to themselves. By doing this they are stopping free advertisement and violating several laws mattering freedom of the press and freedom of speech. YouTube and Nintendo America have been trying to make Nintendo Japan understand the value of social media, but the efforts have been fruitless.

Well how can Nintendo help itself?

First, make your next console to support 3rd party games.
Then Allow YouTube and other medias to use your content and Advertise you FREE!!!
And make all content accessible for everyone.

    So what do you think?

Is Nintendo doing damage to itself with its confusion of how modern media works?
    Should they change their way?
SHOULD THEY STOP MAKING SHINY Pokémon NOT-SO-AWESOME BY JUST GIVING THE AWAY!!?

Let the discussion flow down there. vvv

    Peace! <3

Okay, I see where you are headed with this, I agree with you on some aspects, but go watch Game Theory's thing on it. Sure, their hardware makes third party developers not really want to develop or it is 'needlessly weak.' Nintendo has never cared much for their graphics and hardware so much as trying to be innovative. If Nintendo don't know what they are doing, then where does the joke that the Wii printed money come from or why does the Wii and DS top most region's most sold consoles list?

I think that just from one little thing of Japan only events you have blown the entirety of Nintendo out of the water. I think it's fine that Game Freak want to release some Pokémon only to certain parts of the world. It bugs me, but I respect the developer's decision, since in all reality, the companies make these decisions and you don't see a shortage of people buying the newest Pokémon game.

And you know why they wanted it to be hard for 3rd party developers to do things on the Wii U? So things like Sonic Boom didn't happen. Sega and Nintendo had little to no say other than one of Sonic's lead writers overseeing the project. The game was BAD, and it was one of the few non-ported 3rd party games on the Wii U. They wanted to prevent having bad games, they let a 3rd party in on the action and what happens?

They tried something interesting, people thought it was weird, they didn't buy it. They do know what they are doing though. The Wii is a perfect example of that, and the Wii U is just something that few people think would work in theory, but IMO is great in practice.
