No idea why but some Pokémon look like shinies even if it's not even their actual shiny palette, like Rufflet-
there were times that I thought a regular Charmander, Mudbray, and Snover were the shinies...but I was also tired when I thought such things...
I caught a Machop once thinking it was a shiny because it looked greenish and I had no idea what shiny Machamp looked like. Thank god we have Pokémon Releasing now. He's not with me anymore. He's in the pits of hell where Regirock reigns
I thought I found a shiny Froakie while the shiny boost was on, but it turns out it was just my blue light filter on my phone making the Froakie appear lighter than usual...
The sad part is that I know what it's shiny looks like but the yellow on it's feathers just throw me off. It's supposed to be brown where it's gray and it's feet are a lighter shade of yellow.
Rufflet and Vullaby (don't ask me why) always make me think they're shinies. And I feel the pain of thinking Shuppet's a shiny, haha.
I've thought more than once that Entei's usual color palette was shiny. There are some Pokémon whose colorings just look really weird in the dream world art and if I don't know what the shinies look like, I'll think it's shiny. Like Rhyhorn looks sort of bluish. Rhyhorn's shiny is brown though, which I learned after having to look it up after seeing a "blue" one. And actually I just looked it up and shiny Rhyhorn dream world art looks almost pinkish. Super weird.
