A lot of Pokémon in the Pokémon world are based off of real and fiction creatures, but there are also a significant amount that are based off of inanimate objects or non living things such as a Fan, Oven, Magnet, Doll, Bell, Coffin, Trash, and even Ice Cream! Now that I think about it, it would be really neat to see a Pokémon based off of a Bubble! It would probably defy a lot of logic since it can't pop or else it would die, but lets just say it would be made up of a bunch of indestructible bubbles. Maybe as it evolves it could get more bubbles like how one Diglett evolves into multiple Digletts called a Dugtrio. The idea is weird, but the options are endless! What nonliving or inanimate things do you think could be a Pokémon?

I think that based on the examples above it's safe to assume that GameFreak can make a Pokémon out of pretty much anything. There's already a whole typing (Rock) for inanimate objects.

I like the bubble concept @[member="Bloom"] mentioned a lot, and I'd love to see it happen. I wonder how that would work with the moves Bubble and BubbleBeam.

If I had to choose one object to be made into a Pokémon, I'd choose a robot. I know that there are already some Pokémon that look quite a bit like a robot, like Registeel and Genesect, but I'd just love to see a whole robot-like Pokémon.

B-but imagine the bubble Pokémon using bubblebeam. ALL THE BUBBLES.

Anyhow, as much as I appreciate the creative twists on the Pokémon, I can't help but think that if I saw a walking trash irl, I would scream. I mean imagine eating an ice cream when it suddenly screams because it's really a vanillite.

Anyhow, I would love to see a clock Pokémon!

Clock Pokémon... That reminds me of the fakemon I drew a billion years ago. It was a grandfather clock, I think it was a legendary, but this was pre Diamond and Pearl. A little tweaking though and you could make it into a decent three stage, starts as a small wall clock, then a cuckoo clock, and finally a grandfather clock. I think I also made a balloon Pokémon, which was kinda like Jigglypuff when you get down to it. I'd like a PC Pokémon, just for humor reasons. Or maybe a laptop pokeon?

I agree though. You can give Gamefreak anything and have a Pokémon. Like a Stapler! I want a stapler Pokémon

I would very much like to see a sound-based stereo Pokémon. I think that'd be pretty cool.

I love the ideas of a bubble Pokémon and a clock Pokémon!
@[member="Zoroark"]'s idea of a stereo-based Pokémon would be cool too, but harder for me personally to imagine.

I'd love to see a Pokémon that is based off of a safe of some sort. I mean, we already have Klefki ;) A safe Pokémon would have very good defenses, I'd assume :P

Hm. I'd want some cyborg Pokémon next. Something like a Terminator or an altered Pokémon. I heard that they had a cybernetic dragon developed in 5th Gen. I'd love to see that idea come to life.

    What is this, YuGiOh?
That'd be interesting to see how PCI would, well, Pokémon-ize that idea. I think the closest we'll see to that idea may be Genesect :P

I await the day when Game Freak is allowed to make a Pokémon out of some past Nintendo console. It would be a ghost type and the lore behind it would relate to it being stuck in the Nintendo device somehow. Yes, I know we have Rotom as our resident appliance possessing ghostie, but dammit, this would be so damn cool too!

I can't find it now, but on youtube a year ago or so I saw a parody video of somebody complaining about unimaginative new inanimate Pokémon, probably Klefki and Vanillite specifically as the causes. One of the phony Gen7 Pokémon they hypothesized to make their point was Gun. It was literally just a handgun with a face. Admittedly, this means it is just a modernized Aegislash that went through as much creative development as Grimer, but still I think that's taking inanimate Pokémon too far.

I think I'd like to see a stuffed animal Pokémon (and so would the copycat girl in Saffron City). Maybe something that got discarded and is seeking vengeance against whoever threw it out (sorta like Banette, I guess) or maybe it just gets really protective of its owner and came to life in defense of the child. I think that would be neat either way.

I'd like to see a Pokémon based off a Pokéball sketchpad and for it to have some sort of relationship with smeargle.

I'm all for even more inanimate object Pokémon- they tend to be pretty creative. I even have an idea for a clock Pokémon. The first stage would be called Klockstop'd (name is a work in progress), it'd be based on a stopped clock, and it would evolve into Klinklock when leveled up with a member of the Klink line in the party. To make things more interesting, Klinklock would have three different formes with different stats, and the forme it takes would depend on which member of the Klink line induced the evolution- Klink would make it assume Klink Klock Forme (emphasis on Speed), Klang would make it assume Klang Klock Forme (relatively balanced stats), and Klinklang would make it assume Klinklang Klock Forme (emphasis on Attack). In the event of having multiple members of the Klink line on hand, the one closest to the front of the party would determine the evolution.

I would love to see a doll Pokémon. (Definitely not Chucky)
Maybe because of the cool concept of what happened to it or because of the creepiness of it. (NOT Chucky)

I really like inanimate object Pokémon, lots of other franchises have object-based character designs too [e.g. Digimon and Tamagotchi].
I personally would like to see more food-based Pokémon besides Vanillite and Slurpuff.
