    Anyone thinks war is inevitable at this point? For those that don't know, tensions between North Korea and South Korea has been at the highest since the armistice in 1950s, and these last few days have been quite tense with North Korea making threats and preparing rockets to be launched at US bases on Hawaii and Guam. Of course, those missiles will probably just land in the sea anyway but still, quite scary.

    What's your thoughts? Second Korean war inevitable?

    Well, I have read those in our local newspaper and, yeah, it's possible but I think it's suicide. I mean, if North Korea attacks any of the US bases, it'll be at war with the whole UN... So like, are they prepared for that kind of war?

    Who knows North Korea's motivation. Though I wager that the sanctions (that most likely won't be lifted this time...) really puts North Korea in a situation where the only chance they have is to hold South Korea hostage. I'm mostly afraid that North Korea just realizes it stands no chance and decides to blow Seoul into ashes with everything they got. :(

    I laughed at this, it was so obviously written tongue-in-cheek, that kind of propaganda about 'glorious leader' is so common from there.

    Well, from the looks of things a war might be imminent, but I don't see it being a drawn out one if it happens. Might not even be able to call it a war. North Korea would make some attacks, cause some carnage, and be swiftly dealt with. No 10 year war here, when America is actually fighting legitimate immediate threats to their security they won't mess around and draw things out like they did in the desert. There's close to unanimous disapproval for North Korea in the world, it wouldn't end well for them.

    I agree, that's probably what would go down. Pretty scary but morbidly exciting to be honest..though in no good way. With any luck they'll not actually do anything, it's not the first time they made threats although it's usually been a little more vague than this.

    If North Korea did anything remotely dangerous, they would be a 100 mile wide parking lot. They can't be THAT stupid.

    Yeah I'd like to believe it's all talk, a way for the new leader to get "credibility" since threatening American Imperialist scum, secret army meetings and weapons on standby are nothing new, the former Kim did it more than once.
