Now that OR/AS are out, will you ever play the originals again?

I'll probably still return to the original games. There are things in the old games that the remakes really didn't have like the little animations. There's also a little aspect of challenge to the games bc it doesn't have the physical/special split. I feel like the old games are always so nice to go back to because you really get to see what started one of Pokémon's greatest remakes (and possibly game).

Yeah I think I will. Unlike G/S -> HG/SS I can actually trade all of my Pokémon up to the latest generations and R/S are a lot more challenging in general compared to OR/AS.

 

Sure! I still play Pokémon Yellow even though I have Black and White 2, and I don't see why there's any reason to stop once I get OR Each game is fun in its own way.

 

Hell yes! Emulators and the real thing of RSE and FRLG are amazing. (Yes, I have a legitimate GBA and a copy of all of the Gen 3 games. And also a regular Gameboy with Silver and Blue. And, you know, if you count Gen 4 as "old", I have Platinum, Pearl, and both of the Johto remakes.)

 

Considering I still have an unfinished save file, I probably will, just to complete that save file xD

 

Yeah I'll play them again occasionally, mostly just to do challenge runs like Nuzlockes. OR/AS may be great and all, but that doesn't make the originals less good!

 

I would probably play on a computer emulator since the Emerald cartridge I have doesn't really work. I definitely see myself going back to R/S/E in the foreseeable future although I do not enjoy diving as I cannot see where I'm going!

come for the nostalgia, stay because trying to catch latias for twelve hours

 

If I get bored enough someday, or want to mess around with some glitches, I just might. On the more realistic end, probably not.

 

No. I didn't enjoy them from the start honestly and OR/AS is just so much better. I don't even play OR/AS much honestly so I have no reason to play these.

 

Well I actually have gone back to Emerald recently because of all the differences from the originals and the remakes. If I only had Sapphire or Ruby then probably not but Emerald has stuff the remakes don't (and in some cases I wish they did, I want to fight Magma and Aqua together in the same game in the remakes, like in Emerald)

 

I love the original games and graphics, so I'll definitely be going back to the original games. I love OR/AS, don't get me wrong, but I love the originals.

 

I'll probably go back to the originals, as I love the graphics! The 3D is nice && all, but I prefer the pixel art over 3D!

 

I'll continue playing Pokémon Emerald, until I find a Pokémon game, or the remake worthy of taking that spot.

I may replay them just for fun challenges or to remember what it was like to play the original games, but I definitely prefer ORAS in pretty much every way. The remakes are just too good, haha.
