I've noticed some NPC Trainers have some pretty funny names. They might only appear once, for a few seconds, but they are hilarious. My favorite is Ace Trainer Benedict in ORAS Mauville City. Which NPC name is your favorite? Is it a play on words? A funny reference? Share them here. #MissingNo
One character, a scientist located in the canyon in Sun and Moon, was named Ikaika. I had already named my Golisopod that, so when I saw it there I was laughing. (Ikaika is Hawaiian for "Man of Strength" btw).
I don't think I've noticed any particularly odd names, but I always remember the names of the characters on the Pokegear that call me the most. Bird Keeper Vance and that Liz girl with the Nidorina? It's gotten to the point where I've started naming some Nidorans "Liz" after her. While we're on the topic of NPCs, has anyone else used NPC trainer names for OCs based of the NPC? Sometimes I just scroll through the list of Ace Trainers or Youngsters and think "Huh. That's a cool name."
