N's age

    I'm not sure this is in the right spot. First time posting.

    Anyway, question. Has Nintendo ever given N an official age? Someone on dA's trying to tell me that he's 20 but I find that hard to believe. Bulbapedia doesn't have anything and the other Pokémon wiki says 15+. I'm beginning to suspect she's trying to discourage me from being a Ferriswheelshipper.

    I'm not about to get into that. I ship who I ship. I just want to know if Nintendo ever gave him a canon age. I've always pinned N to be 17 tops and I think in the anime, he's 15.

    I've only ever thought of him as 16. Even 17 seems to be pushing it if you ask me. I don't think he does have an official age. All the sites I've looked on all just say 15+, which is rather vague.

    I'm not seeing anything on Bulbapedia that suggests his age at all. I don't think 17's pushing it judging from his artwork but if he has no concrete age, we can make a logical assumption of 15-18.

    Are you sure? I'm looking at it right now and I'm not seeing a thing. At least, not in the profile. *looks carefully* Nope. I'm not seeing it anywhere. I've looked at both of N's articles on Bulbapedia and nowhere does it state an age, vague or otherwise. Unless I'm missing something somewhere.

    Ah wait. PASH, the magazine the dA commenter was talking about, ESTIMATED that N was 20. Which is not concrete nor official at all. Found that at the trivia section of N's game info.

    You're right. I don't know. Someone must have edited it out since there wasn't an official age because I know it was there a few weeks ago, I swear...

    I'm positive the person telling me this tidbit about N missed the word ESTIMATED. An estimation could be wrong.

    I'm on the fence if I want an official age, mainly because I wrote two Pokémon White fics and N's 17 in them. I'd rather not deal with a slew of commenters telling me I got the age wrong.

    Besides, N's more mysterious when we don't know how old he is. We know next to nothing about his past, only that Ghetsis found him and had him raised with abused Pokémon.

    In my opinion he looks like he could be 20 and I think he is an adult (18+). I don't really perceive him as a teenager tbh.

    I don't know. I'm 25 but I look 18. Appearances can be deceiving. N could be 20 for all we know but I don't think so. I guess the only compromise here is to assume he's whatever age you want him to be.

    I think my reasoning is that I've always seen N as a rival and not as the leader (puppet or otherwise) of a villainous organization. All the other leaders were always old guys, except Cyrus who was into his late twenties (27 to be exact). Even then, Cyrus looks older than he is. Giovanni, Maxie, Archie, and Ghetsis are of unknown ages but I'm looking at thirties for Maxie and Archie, forties for Giovanni, and fifties for Ghetsis.

    Since I see N as a rival, it just seems more right to me that he'd be in his teens like the player characters.

    N always seemed to me to be more of an older 'rival'. He didn't really say anything like "I'm going to be the best trainer in the world, and you can't stop me!" which is the generic rival speech. If you compare what the B/W trainers look like compared to N, I would say N looks older too.
