Nuzlocke - Lucy's story

Hi guys!

I've already announced my nuzlocke comic on my deviant art quite a while ago. Now that I'm just starting here I thought you might like to see this too. This will be a monthly upload with the first page coming this January. Please enjoy the challenge of Lucy's nuzlocke with me!



I'm playing on my Pokémon fire red for this challenge and I'm using the following rules:

- If a Pokémon faints it dies. No revives or Pokémon centre can change that. I'll have to release it or put it in a death box never to be used again. I'm going to put mine in the death box to make it easier for me to look back while drawing this comic.

- I can only catch the first Pokémon I encounter on each route, if I fail to catch it that's too bad, no second chances.

- I'm playing with a dupes clause which means I can only catch one Pokémon of every evolution line. If I encounter a Pokémon of the same evolution line this one does not count and I can try to catch the next thing I encounter.

- Give every Pokémon you catch a nickname, I'm not working with any name theme so mine will be random.

- I'm playing with a level limit. My limit is the highest level Pokémon of the next gym leader. If I over level I can't use the over leveled Pokémon and have to store it in the PC until I've beaten the next gym. This limit does not count when I enter the Pokémon league.

Hi guys!

Here it is! The first page of my nuzlocke comic, just as promised at the end of this month. This is the page that will set the scene for a new story. I made the line art with ballpoint pen drawings and did the colors in photoshop.
This is going to be a monthly uploaded series and the page's will probably become longer than this one.

Hi guys!

Here we are, finally the second page of Lucy's story is online for you to read! I hope you enjoy meeting her first Pokémon and seeing her first battle. The choice of her starter Pokémon is randomized. I looked at the last number of her ID, if this was a 1-3 I'd get the grass starter, for 4-6 I'd get the fire starter, for 7-9 I'd get the water starter and for 0 I'd move on to the next number.

As some of you might notice, this page has some different materials than the last page. This comic is an experiment for me so it might change a little bit here and there as I get a better feeling for how the programs and my style work. Also because this is an experiment it could be late sometimes. Last month was quite hectic, if you want to read about that you can find it in my last journal. I'll try to keep my uploads on time but please understand that there are other things that might come first.

 

Hi guys!

Some of you might know already, some of you might not. I've been thinking a lot about it and I've decided to stop making my nuzlocke comic for now. The reason for this is that I do really enjoy making the story and drawing the pokemons but I dislike drawing the humans and that takes away a lot of the fun for me. I've just got to take my time to find a style I'm comfortable with before I continue the series.

You guys might find me uploading some sketches for it here and there, and I'll try to keep you updated. I really hope you guys can understand.
