    Hiya! My name is Alex, but usually everywhere I go by the pseudonym AlexTheRose, or (if possible) just Alex. I've been a member of the PokéCommunity for four and a half years (and am a platinum-tier donor as well) and also run my own board (not really going to plug that all too much), and have been interested in computer science since I was 6 and Pokémon since I was 8. Naturally, the two sort of collided for me into the (sort of) busy life I lead on the internet now! I've had experience running different sorts of forums (using phpBB, MyBB, and vBulletin 4) for about three and a half years, and manage a VPS that does some nifty things.

    I also enjoy playing Minecraft and have been scouting out different servers that would be nice to play on. With that I also like playing Age of Empires I/II, SimCity 4, RollerCoaster Tycoon 2, and some other lesser known games. Other things that interest me are doing goal-oriented (non-creative) works in Photoshop, and even though I haven't been into it recently I'm fairly skilled in ROM hacking with the third generation of Pokémon games.

    Welcome in Alex! It's nice to see an established PokeCommunity member. I've spoken with some of the admins before regarding help with this website and they have been very helpful. What's your favorite forum style? We're Invision Power Board. A bit different from vB but still maintains a lot of great features, including a lot of added features.

    Welcome to the Lake Valor forums! It's great to have a veteran with experience in Pokémon forums here (4 and a half years is a pretty long time) and I hope you can contribute to this place as well, as I'm sure you will do. You probably already know your way around forums so there's no need for me to refer you anywhere but I can tell you that if you have a query, you can direct it to one of the mods or admins here. We run on IPB at the moment which is great for customization especially, so I can recommend it to you as a reliable forum board to use if you ever come across it in the future. Apart from that, I'm also a computer (geek is a really unnecessary term to use) and video game enthusiast. Age of Empires used to be one of my favourite games when I was younger as well as SimCity. The new version of SimCity is very nice aesthetically and I can recommend it as a good refreshment to its predecessors. Strategy and civilization building games are very cool to play.

    Anyway, enough of my monologing. All that is left for me to say is that I hope you have an enjoyable time on Lake Valor.
