Oh this show seems nice... WHAT IS THIS?!

Teen Titans Go..... Here I thought they were planning on bringing back the series as a more cartoonized show, turns out it was more comedic than anything else. I still like the show, but I was really mislead at first since I was expecting it to be more similar to the old series since the action and plot were amazing. Teen Titans Go is just random humor, but with a sprinkle of Teen Titans aspects here and there.

 

I had the exact same reaction to Teen Titans Go... I was thinking "Oh my god, Teen Titans is back," but I got... that.

 

Attack On Titan.

My friend just said the name to me and i started watching it. First of i thought that it is your regular shoujo with stampunk stuff. Oh how wrong was i. The firts scene, the "On that day, humanity recived a grim reminder." Scene, i thought: "that big thing is creepy, but someone will kick its ass." Oh how wrong was i. AoT was NOTHING i exepted. At the end of it i was crying and hooked. (Also i hate/love that friend now.)

 

Wolf's Rain. I thought it was going to be about adventure and that they'd win in the end!

BUT NO! It's a freaking cryfest! I couldn't stop crying as the series drew to its close! Gah! Thinking about it is leaving the feeling of the prickling of tears in my eyes!

I LOVE/HATE THIS SHOW!

Another one was Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. It started out amazing and grew to suspense and awe and then what?! What is HAPPENING? I AM UTTERLY CONFUSED! I UNKNOWINGLY SIGNED UP FOR THIS!

It completely screwed my perception of this series. (my brain still hurts thinking about it!)

 

Madoka Magica.

That show. It starts off so innocently, with an innocent, happy little theme and cute closing music. It's got some cute characters, and while there's a few ominous things thrown in, like the first episode's opening and the Labyrinths, it's nothing that can't spoil the happy and hopeful spirits of the main characters!

And then the end of episode three happens and shit hits the fan so hard the fan breaks. And it stays that way and only ever gets darker and darker until you are crying and hugging yourself because holy shit why did that have to happen? T.T The show changes so drastically that they even change the closing theme for the episodes! BUT THEY STILL KEEP THE HAPPY OPENING THEME JUST TO TAUNT YOU!

The series is so good though! I've watched it so many times now I think I've almost memorized it. The symbolism and emotion is done so well and with such care, and the music for the series is just amazing. It really is a work of art, just one that fakes you the heck out at the start.

 

I feel this so hard. Even after I watched the darker episodes, I was still holding onto hope because the opening theme was so happy and optimistic!

BUT NO.

It sucker punched me so hard I thought it was just gonna be about cute badass girls saving the world. Which in a way it was, but not the way you originally expect it will omg.

 

Cowboy Bebop. Wasn't quite as Western as I was expecting it to be back when I checked it out (which was roughly 7-8 years ago). I just remember reading it and thinking "what's a cowboy show doing on Adult Swim?", which prompted me to check it out. I was indifferent about the show, to say the least.

 

The Total Drama series caught me by surprise, what with all its swearing, sexual references and occasional nudity.It's almost hard to believe it's marketed towards kids!

 

There was this show called Super Hero Squad... poor me. I am such a huge Marvel fan... this ruined my life. Forever.

 

I remember when we found that on Netflix... that was awful XD.

 

Happy Tree Friends is a mixed example; I was expecting the show to be inappropriate in some way, but I wasn't expecting the high amounts of blood and gore. And yet, I'd watched every episode to date when I was younger. There's also Sonic X, which I had thought would be another series similar to Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, but it didn't catch much of my interest and only covered adaptations of a few games. The anime could have alternately been called Chris X, though, because a lot of the focus went to the Thorndyke family's affairs/troubles in Station Square, and Chris Thorndyke himself took up a lot of the spotlight due to his arguable Creator's Pet status; he sometimes even got more screentime than Sonic himself.

 

Regular Show. "Just an immature program thatt will have a big failure with kids"...

Now it is one of my favorite TV programs...My mind doens't have solution.

But following the corrrect order. it happened to me with The Avengers (cartoon ones). i said, "Wow, this will be awesome"..After that I got bored after the first 5 minutes think that it was the most boring thing taht i have ever seen.

 

A bunch of Japanese shows, honestly. They have been pretty crazy and not what I expected at all.

I will never be the same again. Actually, there are buttloads more of shows I could name, but GF has ruined me.
I can't not doublecheck certain things for hidden meanings now...

 

Sword Art Online.

At first, I though, 'oh, this seems popular, better go watch it because I'm bored.' I turn on my tablet and binge watch the first fourteen episodes. That's when shit hit the fan. Dear god, I'm not going to spoil it for anyone that wants to watch it, but actually WTF. They did all that and then it happens. On top of that, the rest of the anime just seemed to forced. It hit below the bar for me, and for that I'm kind of upset.

Can't win em' all though.

 

Seeing a mixture of cartoon and anime mentions here~ But what of movies? Have movie titles ever managed to deceive you? Granted, what they're eventually called is usually spot on, but what about the the likes of Black Swan, Demolition Man and Tropic Thunder, hmm?

 

Frozen, actually. I didn't know what to expect BUT THAT WASN'T IT!

 

Not going to spoil anything, at least I hope, but Doctor Who does this. Random Feels everywhere, man. It's crazy, and once you start with that show, you really can't stop.
