Older! But Same Experience?

I honestly just assumed that they were still 10! Nothing changed! No difference! I think the only thing that would convince me otherwise would be their appearances. I wish the NPCs didn't treat us like newbies, and gave us the option to pick whether we wanted a tutorial or not. I think that would have made it so much better.

 

Weren't they supposed to be 18? This is the same generation that discontinued Game Corner. So, it's okay for a 10 year-old to "gamble", but not someone of legal age?

The new ages were refreshing, but not really necessary. If they decide to go the route of older protagonists again, maybe they could have them not live with their mom, but instead in an apartment they just moved into, or something of that nature.

 

Well, I was thinking that the characters hadn't been 10 since the first game and they were getting increasingly older, but that's just me

 

Honestly, I didn't know that the set age in Pokémon was always 10, I believed we were the age of whatever the MC's appearance assumed to be. (Ex: In B/W both protagonists look about 14-15 to me.. And in HG/SS the main characters look about 12-14) Even so, I think the only thing it could have impacted wasnthe dialogue, as I don't remember being referred to as "Kid" as much as I did in past games. Even so, I think age really only affects appearance in Pokémon games!

 

I didn't realize they were supposed to be older, haha. Though the BW/2 protags honestly do look a little older compared to the others, but not by too much. I don't think age matters that much in Pokémon games.

 

I think the older we get, the older our protags will get. Next thing you know, all of the new protag's are Sycamore's age~! And look as good as him, haha.
Age doesn't matter much, especially in the anime, but they don't seem all that older than the older protags.

 

It excited me a little bit, since all of the protagonists seemed to be pretty young before that. I still don't notice much of a difference though.

 

I'm still hoping for even older Protags. Clearly not everyone starts at 10 some start younger and some are newbies at an older age. I want some 18-20 year old protags.

In B/W they are 14 and in B2/W2 they are 16
