Famitsu numbers are in, and in their first three days of sales Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! sold a grand total of 664,198 retail units in Japan! This includes physical game cards, Pokéball plus packs, and Switch hardware bundles, but does not include digital sales.

To put this into perspective, whilst Pokémon Sun and Moon sold significantly more than this during their first three days, this figure is only a few thousand highest below the selling Switch title for this period, which is Splatoon 2, at 670,955 units.

Switch sales for the period between November 12th and 18th also more than tripled compared to the previous week, clocking in at an impressive 180,585 units.

Western figures, as well as digital sales, have yet to be revealed. Does this bode well for sales in the West and the future of Let's Go! as a spinoff series, or is this only a Japanese phenomenon? How well do you think Let's Go! has performed?

Tough to tell. Usually, with large-name Nintendo games, western sales tend to mimic Japanese sales, but because Let's Go! seems to occupy this weird space as far as Pokémon titles go - and given the number of negative reviews it has gotten - the numbers will likely vary.

Surprising, as I expected worse! I think people really saw this game as some ~ harbinger of the end ~ for main series features, and not just a spin off, like it really is. That being said, I’m glad it sold well! It definitely has its merits as a game.

Very good figures... Not only is the Nintendo Switch a relatively new system but its price tag is also 3-4x more than the 2DS, plus the Switch games are around $60 vs. the 3DS's typical $40. I'm happy to see this. =)

The game seems to be doing a lot better than I thought it would, heck even I wasn't planning on getting it... but changed my mind and got it digitally when it was released and have been enjoying it since.
