Are you optimistic or a pessimist? Do you always think positive, why or why not? if optimist vs pessimist is taken, in your opinion which one will win? Why do you think being one you are is nice or bad? I am more on pessimist side than optimistic but yeah I sometimes see things positively when needed
Optipessimistic. I'm a fair mix of both depending on my mood and how my lucks been going. screw you, awful teammates in splat2... oh hey 900th post
Like Squiddy, I'm kinda in the middle here, depending on the subject matter. Like, I will always be pessimistic when it comes to government, but always optimistic when it comes to metaphysical matters.
I'm a realist. I can analyze the situation and if people think things are going good, I'll point out the negatives that need fixing(I limit this), if people think things are going bad, I'll point out the positives. I never say something that isn't true to be negative or to be positive. I prefer to analyze and give the most accurate assessment of the situation as I can no matter how happy or how bleak. I also like to balance the scales so one side never gets too much good or bad.
I'm not an Optimist, nor a Pessimist. I'm more of a Realist. If the world's taking a turn for the worst, than i guess we'll have to deal with it. An if things are looking up, than who am I to ruin the situation.
I'm optimistic most of the time. But like the previous posts here, I am also a realist. There are some moments in which I will say, "Yeah, I agree, that's pretty bad," though I'm not one to go into super long tangents about it. I mean, I will ramble about some things just to get it off my chest, but that's about it.
I’m mainly optimistic, I’m told, but I see myself as optipessi(team)mistic because of logic. The way I see it, you never fill a glass all the way to the top, to where it is pretty much overflowing right? So where you normally fill it up too, which is considered full, means that half of that is BELOW half the glass. So, therefore, the glass is half empty. I’m probably going to be a scientist nerd dude thing or whatever one day. Revolutionary.
I can't say I have strong feelings one way or the other, though I do have occasional leans. Interestingly, in real-life situations I tend to be optimistic (situations might look bad on the outset but there will always be some way forward), but when playing games of any kind I tend to be pessimistic (assume that anything that can go wrong will go wrong, and plan accordingly). I'm not sure when or how I developed those mentalities, though my guess on the games one is that I always try to have backup plans whenever possible and that I learn rules pretty quickly. Overall I really don't have much else to say on the matter.
It really depends on my mood, to be honest. though most of the time I try and keep an even mood, so maybe optimist.
its about being realistic at the end of the day, with a slight tint towards pessimism imo outcomes perceived with prudence and without expectation of good can have no downside if things go up or down
Optimist/realist. I generally try to look on the bright side of things but I realize not everything I want can be realistically achieved, as much as I would like them to. Some dreams just have to stay dreams.
I'm typically pessimistic. I don't like getting my hopes up if I know it's going to be bad. Murphy's law kinda follows me around, so I have to be prepared.
I am verbally an optimist. I will encourage the heck out of everyone!! I'll try to keep spirits high in any situation. But internally I'm quite pessimistic.
I used to be pessimistic but I've changed to be more positive. I'm much happier when I'm not constantly tearing myself down, so I try to make the best of any situation.
optimistic externally, but inwardly most probably pessimistic ;; i like encouraging people and making sure they know that they can do it, but yet i’m quite pessimistic (especially towards myself).
Mostly depends on when you ask me, but most of the time I am a pessimist and a realist. My life was hard and still is hard and you probably don't want to know why. Though there are times that I try to be optimistic to cheer other people up by making fun of myself and the things that I usually do that ends with me injuring myself without me really trying. Even though both types of people have their pros and cons, I think that a pessimist would be slightly better because I find that an optimist would have plenty of friends but would find that they have next to none after high school and probably become a pessimist. But that is just my opinion.
I'm definitely pessimistic when it comes to situations that involve myself. For example, I always say I'm gonna fail tests or think that my art is awful. But if its regarding other people, I'm always optimistic. I always encourage my friends to do their best and that everything they do will turn out great.
I can be one of either depending on either the situation or my mood, but I'm usually on the optimistic side when it comes to others. Though when it come's to myself, I suppose it's 50/50, and same with my view of life, 50/50.
I'm definitely pessimistic. My friends and family are always telling me to cheer up and think more positively, but that is quite hard for me to be honest. I can't help but see the bad side in situations.
