OR/AS Soundtrack

Oh my, I absolutely adored the music in ORAS. It literally was just amazing, hearing all the brass and everything. And then, you had amazing pieces like this:

If the remixed drought music isn't enough to give you goosebumps, then.. ;o; It's amazing. The heavy rain remix is also absolutely fantastic and really makes me feel nostalgic with how often I replayed Sapphire back in the day. Another huge favorite is Deoxys' battle theme - probably one of the best songs in all of Pokémon so far, especially the portion towards the beginning. Sounds so galactic and I lovelove it.

I felt the same as I did with the original games' soundtrack. It's alright at best. My favorite tracks are the Rival Battle Theme, Victory Road, and the Magma/Aqua Leader battle theme.

I never liked the gym leader theme, but it's not the worst; X & Y holds that achievement (even though the rest of X & Y's soundtrack was pretty much an A+).
Not fond of the E4 or Champion music either. It all sounds too similar to the gym leader theme.

 

The soundtrack for ORAS was fantastic! My favorite theme is definitely Zinnia's battle them though, it got me so pumped up oh man!

 

The entire soundtrack is incredible, I love listening to it! My favorite tracks are by far the Aqua/Magma Leader Battle theme, and the Rayquaza battle theme. Both are so much better than the original RSE versions, and they sound so damn good.

Not that I had a problem with a saxophone or anything, but I was expecting a trumpet. I still loved the soundtrack, and a nostalgic/remixed version of the old soundtracks~

 

My favourite track is probably by the one from the Rayquaza fight. The bells in the beginning (they are bells right? I dunno- I'm no musician) just make it sound all the more... doomy? Like when you first hear this track you know you shouldn't mess with Rayquaza. (Especially with a base stat total of 780 when it's mega evolved. That's stronger than Arceus: the GOD of the Pokémon world!)

 

This game's soundtracks were so good! I'm glad they didn't overdo it with he trumpets this time, haha.
Zinnia's battle theme was one of the best vs music for this game imo. She's very excited about this battle against you and it really shows in the music.

Flight to Space is also a great one. It's best if you listen to it while watching that particular scene because of how epic it is.

The water-centric music like Surf and Dive in this game are gorgeous and I loove them. The Scuba Diver's theme, too.

The sountracks in OR/AS were absolutely amazing! I loved all the cool battle themes, the only one that was maybe a bit disappointing was the Gym Leader theme. It didn't change much from the originals, but it was pretty neat nevertheless. I really liked the legendary encounter themes, and Wally's theme too. Great music for a great game

 

I have some of my favorites if it comes to ORAS.

- The Introduction music (the part where Prof. Birch introduces world of Pokémon).
- Battle vs. May/Brendan (I liked it in RSE, but the ORAS rendition makes it even more epic.)
- Slateport City (one of my old favorites)
- Soaring themes (it's more epic on the day)
- Battle vs. Zinnia (a great battle theme, and the violin stands out too.)

 

I hate to be a party pooper, but I still slightly prefer the original tracks in comparison to the ORAS ones, simply because I actually liked the use of the "trumpets" and they really stood out for me as sort of the Hoenn music vibe. That part of RSE's OST was something I was hoping for in ORAS, but it was pretty underwhelming. However there were a few tracks that I enjoyed.

I love the ORAS soundtrack. You can see the old soundtrack in it but still have a nice modern tinge to it.

 

I thought it was pretty awesome to hear the music in full-fledged orchestra style. However, I think I prefer the music from RSE. Sorry, guys
