A well known, effective way of EV training is horde battling. Using the move Sweet Scent in certain routes, you have a 100% chance of getting a horde battle, meaning you can easily defeat 5 Pokémon which gives EVs on the same stats with a multi-targeting move, such as surf or earthquake, and if you are using the EXP Share, your entire team will benefit. (I highly recommend using the Pokémon Tropius as your horde battler, since it can learn a variety of multi-targeting moves as well as sweet scent) Combining horde battling with the use of specific power items and Pokerus, will make it faster and easier to obtain EVs as they heighten how many possible EVs you can get. Calculations for EVs combined with power items/Pokerus: Multiply by 5 for Horde encounters Base 1 point: Pokérus / Macho Brace: 2 EVs Pokérus + Macho Brace: 4 EVs Pokérus + Power Item: 10 EVs Here's a list of hotspots: HP [3D='whismur'] Whismur Location: Rusturf Tunnel Encounter Rate: 100% Level: 5 EVs: 1 HP each Attack [3D='shuppet'] Shuppet Location: Mt. Look at this! You have done a really good job with this tutorial and it is really good if you want to prepare your Pokémon's for competitive. I simply love it
Nice guide, I'll be sure to check in here if needed! 8D There are also Doduo in the Safari Zone that I use a lot for attack training in hordes. 83 You can also find Oddish hordes there, as well as Psyduck, all at level 15.
Ohh, this is excellent you done a great job ! Btw in the Sky Pillar there is hordes of Golbat and Ariados. Both of them appear regularly. Golbat - 2 Evs in Speed Ariados - 2 Evs in Attack
this isn't quite a guide so I thought I'd post it here. It's basically a chart to help you keep track of EVs. It was developed by a friend who left Pokémon a short time ago and while this version is for X and Y I figured it could be helpful and modified to fit with ORAS. Here is the link and I hope it helps. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-iAN-RRGrcHcWV5QlhkMWNRRFE/view?usp=sharing
