Who... Who are you? How did you get here?

Heheh, well isn't that the question. Of course you wouldn't know me. But you're going to remember me quite well.

    Get away you... Grk!

Aww, you're too weak to fight me aren't you? Have all these years really drained your power that much? But that problem will be solved just as soon as your little partner walks up those steps, won't it? Now isn't that dull. Where's the adventure? Where's the suspense? There's not even comedy! It's just so boooring!

Boring? Do you even grasp what's at stake here, you blundering imbecile?

Do you? We're about to have a game with no conflict! Oh, shame of all shames! Hehehe. We'll just have to fix that, won't we?

    *snap!*

    NO!

Eris the Kirlia was having a wonderful day. She strode calmly down the path to the Petalburg woods, humming slightly to herself and enjoying the sunlight shining warmly on her face. She looked up, closing her eyes and sighing in delight.

Which swiftly became a gasp of surprise as she tripped over a slightly cushy obstacle, crashing neatly on her face.

Eris groaned, pushing herself up and rubbing her head. She turned around to see a Pokémon curled up in the middle of the path.

With an indignant huff, Eris walked over to the Pokémon, standing over it with her arms crossed.

"Hey!" she said, hoping she sounded assertive enough. When the Pokémon didn't respond, she gracefully leaned over and tapped it lightly on the back. "Hey!" she said again, being sure to sound extra indignant. When the Pokémon once again didn't respond, Eris' cheeks flushed red with anger.

"Well," she huffed. "If you're going to be so rude as to lay in the middle of the path and ignore me, I'll just have to... Why, I'll..."

Eris groaned in frustration, pacing behind the Pokémon. She suddenly stopped, her expression serious and her eyes determined.

"Right. If you are going to be so rude, I'll just have to challenge you to a battle!" Eris cried out, pointing one hand into the air to show her steely determination towards her goal. She turned with a confident smile to face the Pokémon, only to find it having not moved a single muscle.

"Hey!" Eris nearly growled. "I just challenged you! You can't just sit there when another Pokémon challenges you to a battle!" Eris stood in simple and utter shock as the Pokémon continued to lay in the road. She screamed in frustration, stomping her foot repeatedly as her entire face flushed red.

"Of all the rude, inconsiderate, mean-spirited, nasty, low, dirty, UGH!" Eris ground out, walking around to stand in front of the Pokémon, "HEY you brutish dullard, get out of the... road?"

Eris' anger fell directly into confusion as she noticed the Pokémon's eyes were closed. "Well, that explains some things." she muttered to herself in embarrassment, before she also noticed the small wounds covering the Pokémon's belly, as if it had been suddenly and sharply dropped where it lay.

Her hands flew up to her mouth, her eyes opening wide in shock. "Oh dear! Oh, dear oh dear oh dear!" Eris rolled the Pokémon over slightly, placing her ear against its chest. She sighed in relief as she heard a steady heartbeat, but her lips pursed in worry. "You need some help." she said absently, tapping her chin lightly in thought. "But I don't know any healing moves."

Looking around, she gasped in delight as she caught sight of an Oran berry bush. "Oh, wonderful!" she cried, clapping her hands together as she walked over to the bush. She picked a few of the plumper berries, walking back over to the unconscious Pokémon. She stood awkwardly over the knocked out Pokémon, realizing that she would have to wait until it woke up to try and heal it with berries.

"Oh, bullocks." Eris sighed, daintily sitting down on the grass to wait.

An Altaria lay lay in the middle of the pathway. While still drained of energy, she began to think. 'Who am I? My names... Jessica I think... My head is so fuzzy... Just focus...' She worked out one thing. Jessica raised her head to see a humanoid Pokémon staring at her. It was a kirlia if she remembered correctly... But why was it her size. Why did her body feel different?! ' I'm a human aren't I? I remember being one...' She began to try and stand. Her fluffy wings shot out revealing the minor wounds covering her sides. That's when something weird happened. She heard the kirlia talk. Not in poke-speak mind you, but perfectly understandable. "What?! How are you talking?!" She whispered, freaked out.she began to move back, moving the strange form.

Eris paused for a moment, a dumbfounded expression on her face. "Erm... How am I talking? Well, I don't know the exact science but it's got something to do with pushing air over your vocal chords and that's not what you meant by that question at all, is it?" She scratched her head in thought. "Well, I've always been able to talk. Ever since I learned as a kid, I've just been talking away. Some Pokémon even say I talk to much! I don't think it's all that exceptional. I mean, you can talk too. I don't think there's anything that can't talk, except many plants." Eris thought for a second. "Unless they can actually talk too. Oh, now that's an interesting thought."

Noticing the Pokémon shying away, Eris held up her hands placatingly. "Hey there, I'm not doing to hurt you." She said softly, before remembering the berries she'd picked. She scooped up the oran berries, holding one out to the Pokémon. "You're hurt. These will help." She said, taking a small step closer. "They're just oran berries."

"I... I don't think I've ever seen a Pokémon like you before." Eris said after a short pause. "My name's Eris. Who are you? And, uh, where are you from? And how exactly did you end up in the middle of the road?" Eris took another step closer, still holding out the berry.
