Catching legends without the Master Ball can be such a pain! But you only get one, so who do you use it on?

Which legend in ORAS would you say is the best to use the Master Ball on, and why? Who did you end up using it on (if any yet)?

I'm saving my Master Ball for rayquaza. Or, I might decide to sr for a shiny deoxys and use it then. I dunno.

I am saving my masterball for Deoxys, it's chance to be caught is so low, and Rayquaza's is a bit higher so I'll throw a quick ball at it.

I would honestly would not even use a masterball on a legend, but on a shiny that could easily get away with something like teleport, or kill itself with something like final gambit.
Here's a fun fact though, you can technically get more than one masterball in your game through some of your secret pals depending on their trainer class.

I try not to use the masterball with legendaries for the challenge and in case the shiny that I've never run into shows up magically. But it was very tempting with latios because it wouldn't stay in the ball! I almost used it on my 7th battle with it but my last timer ball saved it for me :)

I hardly ever use the masterball to be honest. I have no idea why I always end up not using it but I think I would use it as an absolute last resort to catch a legendary that happens to be shiny. Other than that I always keep it... *whoops*

I don't plan on using the Master Ball unless as most people have said the legendary is a shiny. I'll Quick (Faith) Ball first sometimes, then I'll whittle it's health down and buy time with Ultra and Dusk Balls, then I'll catch them with a Timer Ball. I still can't believe I Faith Balled Groudon...

I used my Master Ball on my Shiny Reshiram and I regret absolutely nothing. It was completely worth it, haha.

I usually save my Master Balls for shinies anyway, I try to catch Legends in different balls if I can. I managed to catch Kyogre in AS in a Dive Ball, which I was very happy about.

I used my master ball on Rayquaza. I almost regret not using it on Deoxys, but the Rayquaza turned out to be Adamant nature so I have no regrets.

Huh saving it for a shiny is a very good (and safe) idea. I was thinking I was going to use it on Rayquaza, but I actually just easily caught it with a Dusk Ball. (multiple times, I was SRing, and every time I caught it first try while it was paralyzed and health in the red.)

I don't think I'll plan to use my Master Ball unless I'm super set on SRing hardcore for a legend and it's being extremely difficult, and even then I would really like to save it, just in case. Because man, you guys are right, I would hate to run into a shiny that just teleported away or fainted itself or something. D:

Usually I would use the masterball on the first legendary I encounter. This time, however, I've still got it!
I caught Groudon with a Pokéball, believe it or not, he was an arse and kept popping out of the ultra balls, so I used a Pokéball randomly and voila! I find that happens sometimes...

Rayquaza was harder, he didn't want to be caught at all, but with persistence I managed to get him inside a timer ball.
The sudden encounter with Deoxys surprised me, since I was still recovering from the joy of catching Rayquaza, BUT he was unbelievably EASY to catch! One dragon pulse from Rayquaza sent its HP to red, and I caught it with the first ultra ball I threw!

Perhaps Deoxys was supposed made to be easy, since you encounter two legendaries in such a short amount of time? Or was I just really lucky?

Either way, I'm saving my masterball for emergencies!

I used my Master Ball on Deoyxs because I didn't have time to battle it. I had to leave soon and a team full of mid 50s mon and a single Lv. 70 seems like really bad odds. Deoxys' catch rate of 3 doesn't really made me wanna have a battle with it either when I was in a rush. Thank good Rayquaza's rate was 45 so I didn't have to use my Master Ball on it and just lopped an Ultra Ball at it and it was over.

Well one of the two is easy to catch, the other is not. Rayquaza have had his catch rate increased from 3 to 45 in ORAS which is why you caught him with little effort, Deoxys' catch rate remains unchanged with a whopping 3.
