Which do you prefer: Pokémon Origins or Pokémon Generations? And which is your favorite episode of each? I like them both, but I prefer Generations because they’re shorter and easier to binge, and it gives little adventures in all the regions (rip Alola) as opposed to just Kanto. I don’t hate Origins though- I just think they’re very long (compared to Generations). My favorite episode of Origins is the one about Cubone and my favorite episode of Generations is the episode about the Old Chateau.
It took a moment for me to realize what you were talking about, but now I remember. I was more of a Generations guy, especially since, well, it wasn't just Kanto. It made me feel a lot better, especially since it focused on the characters as a whole more than just a single one. But as for favorite episodes? Mega Evolution in Origins - it was the first time I was introduced to such a process. In Generations, it was the one between Silver and Giovanni.
Origins portraits the Pokémon world just as I conceive it so, despite liking Generations as well, I'll stick with it. (Origins was really something else, man. I hope we could see some more of it in the future...)
I don’t think I’ve seen generations. I’ve seen origins though so I have one less series to watch this break
I never got around the watching Generations, but I liked Origins when I saw it. It was so nice not seeing Ash (who I hate) in a Pokémon anime.
Honestly, I dislike both - both are far too rushed. Origins needed more than 4 episodes, and Generations needed to be longer than 5 minutes or so. Both irritated me in equal measure and I would have preferred something that actually did justice to the games properly as opposed to just providing the absolute minimum amount of fanservice. The soundtrack for both was pretty great, though.
I liked both but I prefer Origins slightly more, I just wish it was longer since a full length anime would have been super sweet. That goes for Generations too really, while I enjoyed watching it the eps were way too short to really leave that much of an impression and I don't remember most of it tbh because of that.
