What are your living arrangments like? Do you live at home with your family, with friends, or on your own? Do you live in an apartment/flat, a house, a mansion populated by zombies? Do you like your home, or would you prefer to live somewhere else?
Apartment with my parents, the apartment is nice but the landlady doesn't lift a finger for any issues. And my parents are absolutely awful.
My part of the lunar base is pretty cozy. It's two stories high (not that we have limited horizontal geography to work with), and my single quarters is only 10'x10', but it's really all I need. The worst part about it is that my internet connection is absolutely garbage since I'm so far from civilization, but I must say: the view outside in any direction is absolutely to die for.
I live on the top (third) floor in an apartment complex that has both easy accessibility and out of the way from the busy roads. My particular unit is very private so I don't get much traffic from my neighbors. Speaking of which, I get along with most of them, the family that just moved in across from me as well as the couples living next door and below. Others, I haven't met yet and I'm pretty sure someone's getting evicted from a notice posted on their door on the first floor. I've never seen anyone go in or out of that unit since I've been here. I quite like my apartment very much. It's spacious (plenty for a single guy living on his own) viable and in a gated community. I've had little issues with maintenance other than my sink disposal leaking which they fixed very quickly. Keep my place clean to stay in the habit of not living in a dump. Seriously, when you're single it's easy to fall into that pit. I live in a part of a city where it could be dangerous wandering in the wrong neighborhood so location and safety were factors in me choosing my residence. The price for rent however was a bit more than I wanted, however all cheaper options were not to my liking or in more shady areas.
I move back and forth between my parent’s two new apartments now. One is nice and modern, while the other is somewhat dingy. Both apartments are pretty soundproof, but my neighbors still complain whenever I play a game on the TV at 3% volume. I’ll only being staying at these places for about a year because none of the colleges I’m interested in are within a three-hour drive. How I will be able to find an affordable dorm or apartment by the start of my freshman year is unclear.
