Some games today are awfully overpriced for what they're worth. Some that come to mind are Aliens: Colonial Marines, ARMA 3, and games like that. Do you agree? Post your thoughts here.

I think games in general are really expensive these days. I have to buy my games used to get a decent deal on it a lot and I find it really annoying even though the companies really do need the money sometimes.

If you think about it, all games (new or used) are relatively cheap with the rate of inflation is going. NES games in the 80's were $40-60 new. That's about how it is now.

That being said however, there are still inferior games out there that are indeed overpriced. I once bought Sonic Unleashed for the Wii brand new ($50) only to be disappointed of how lackluster of a game it was. These days, I always do thorough research before purchasing any game. The internet, being the extensive powerhouse that it is today), makes this research and decision making a lot simpler prior to buying a game(s).

Yup, agree and then they'd complain about piracy bla bla
But, if you take your time you can find great prices in some shops like second hand ~ (That's what I'd do normally, it's not that bad in my opinion)

Wasn't Sims 4 at least $90+ when it was first released? Might've even been $100+.. can't quite remember. And although the regular Sims 4 is only $59.99 now it's still pretty expensive to me with how used I am to buying games at around $30-40, though I only do get 3DS games which tend to be cheaper than big consoles. Bleh. I'll probably never buy a game if it's over $45.

I think that mostly any game above (at release) ~50 € is overpriced, since you just could wait a half a year and it's then like 30€.... And of course the worst of all DLCs They are like "Here buy the rest of the game"
