Zinnia mentions in Mossdeep's space station the possibility of a parallel universe where mega evolution doesn't exist, and where infinity energy isn't being used/wasn't discovered. What do you think about the potential of such a statement? Do you think that future games will expand on it, bringing remake characters together as universes intercept due to the influence of the increasingly popular infinity energy?
Maybe travelling across universes will be the focus of a plot in the future, with the main character striving to save as many universes as possible from a destructive threat. Maybe a link will be made between the main series games and the mystery dungeon series, explaining some of the stranger aspects of that series. Do humans become Pokémon because of infinity energy? Is the mystery dungeon world a parallel of the universe(s) in the main games in which humans never existed at all?
Or perhaps it was simply a statement thrown in without meaning. What do you think, and what would you prefer to be the case?

the mystrey dungeon series is a world with no humans as said by your partners(humans are only in fairy tales) so it is a parrlel universe and when your called by hydrigeon you the save he Pokémon *orld* meanining its a diffrrent world than yours but the future games probably wont do that because gamefreak never focuses on these slight chancges nin script and that would be one heck of an endless game a world with no mega evoulttion? gen 6 meet gen 1-5 a world with no energy Gen 6 meet eygpt maybe like they will inroduce atown with no power like in X and Y? where u have to use electric types to power the gym?

I saw this on Reddit a while ago and I've accepted that as my head cannon:

@[member="brsajo"] This is really interesting! The only thing that makes me curious is the links between the sections though, such as the mention of a Pokémon design that eventually became Munna in the elementary dimension when it only exists in the connectivity dimension. Perhaps rather than being distinct dimensions, there's a degree of overlap?

Well there is technology which can tranfer Pokémon from one dimension to the next. Perhaps Pokémon aren't the only things being brought into the newer dimensions. Maybe ideas are transported as well, even becoming reality like with Munna. Maybe Arceus, or something even bigger and powerful, is in control of these dimensions and their creation.

I thought of it this way: Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. That's the alternate dimension.

Think about it, no Mega Evolution, no Infinity Energy, and they would most likely indeed be helpless if a meteor decided to appear above their reality's planet.

At least, that's what I think about it.

Also view it as in OR Aqua leader says something like "Imagine if we had tried reviving Kyogre" or something like that. I'm guessing in AS Magma leader probably says "Imagine if we tried reviving Groudon" or something along those lines.

    Shameless plug is shameless.

It would be really cool if you were able to hop between universes, but for obvious reasons I don't think that'll ever happen. :P

I really like how different dimensions was hinted at in the games, it's pretty interesting! It does make some sense, though, as there are a ton of games where the atmosphere of the game is different from others, like Pokémon Mystery Dungeon where humans are pretty much nonexistent.

I do have a theory that connects ORAS and the first PMD game, though- in one scenario in ORAS, the Link Cable actually manages to save the region by teleporting the asteroid away, but it ends up in a dimension where humans have pretty much died out. The events of the first PMD game then happen, and Rayquaza ends up destroying the asteroid in that world, too. It does make some sense, as Rayquaza had to be the one to destroy it either way. I just think it's kind of interesting, haha.

Oh my god my mind is blown but I just thought of something: What if the Pokémon spinoff games, like Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Ranger, are actually different dimensions?

Pokémon Mystery dungeon: Humans are only in fairy tales; what if Pokémon Mystery Dungeon was the parallel dimension and Pokémon Ranger another dimension?

Just a theory, but I just confused myself.

Considering that different universes have been mentioned, due to the mystery dungeon universe as well, I definitely agree. If you take account that every game that anyone has played is never the same. The protagonist may use different Pokémon, and are a hero in any respect. The fact everything may not connect also brings to light this theory. If you've ever played any Pokémon game with varying versions, different things happen be it Team Magma awakens Groudon, or Team Aqua awakens Kyogre. It's really interesting to think of different universes, but overall, I think it's great.

    Cynicism alert!
I've never played OR/AS (And probably never will T_T ) But this is Nintendo and Game Freak we're talking about. And if the idea of parallel universes is epic, there's a high chance they won't ever touch the subject again. On the other hand, Pokémon games have become much more bold since the last two generations by trying to put actual plot in their games (The results of that are sometimes pretty creepy). So honestly, this could go either way. But I think the "never again touch the subject" is more likely.

The concept of it is pretty interesting, though a little bit confusing to understand. Still, kind of nice but I'd like some more context.

I think it's a pretty interesting topic; and I'm definitely in love with the Pokémon mythology.
I'm likely to type out a theory at some point soon about the idea of multiple dimensions in the Pokémon realm.

Game Theory explained this brilliantly in their video, and the evidence given here and on their video is pretty convincing.
This is just an awesome concept! I mean in a game where the essential plot is "becoming the best like no one ever was" and having alternate universes/ dimensions is just great. Plus, they don't really shove it in your face. They just sorta allude to it and let the fans decide what they believe.
...Of course it could just be a retcon, but it's a brilliant one!
Bravo Game Freak and Nintendo. Bravo.

I seem to be bringing up this video a lot.... Well it's a good video. Shuddap!

OH MY GOSH MULTIVERSE?!?!?!?!?!?! *Brain explodes* I really like the idea behind this, and that game theory video is pretty good too.....
    ....
    ...
    Maybe...
...they'll have to make a Red/Blue/FR/LG remake to accommodate this new idea *crosses fingers*

While it's a great concept that I'd love for them to expand on, I doubt they will. They're already done some alternate universe/reality type things in Pokémon Platinum, as Cyrus ripped a hole in the dimensions with the use of Giratina's power. But, who knows. . Maybe the mentioning of it in ORAS was some foreshadowing of remakes of Gen IV. It's a long shot, but it's a thought!

I personally have accepted the idea of multiverse at this point; it's the only concept that connects and makes sense. The future games may continue to brush on it again, but I don't think there will ever be a game dedicated solely to this idea.

I don't believe there's a parallel universe, just because Mega Evolution is a concept doesn't make the whole world go whack, rather Nintendo built around it.
