It was dark outside, which helped Max immensely. Castelia wasn't normally dark, not even at midnight, but there were places she could sneak around in. Sighing softly, she put her backpack on, both straps on her shoulders just in case. Her pokeballs were in a special pocket sewn on the inside of her hoodie, for relatively easy access, and so if her backpack was taken, she would still have her Pokémon. She would have preferred to have Fenrir, her Mightyena, out, but it was too risky, even if he also blended in. She had to appear 'casual', and not sneaky... Which was hard enough, considering her actions.

So far, she didn't have any good leads on the Rebellion, which was too be expected, considering that if there were any, Plasma would know, too. She had found the Plasma recruitment center in Castelia, although everyone knew a center when they saw one. The recruitment center was the largest in the region, so there was plenty of activity, even in the dead of night. Max snuck around on the pier, far enough away from the lights and center, but casual enough, even at night. It was a warm night, after all, in the summer, and the slight breeze felt good on her face. She turned, leaning on the railing, watching the base. Maybe it wouldn't hurt, just to see.

    ----

So far, progress was okay. Almost every night, at least one 'liberated' Pokémon was brought in, and although that was a good thing for Plasma, it made Danielle frown. Their intentions were good, it seemed, but so far, their ways of enforcing it was not. Nothing was being said on what exactly they were to do with the Pokémon. She turned back to her paperwork, hoping she would get new orders to go back in the field. Paperwork was boring as heck. No action, no thrill of a battle. Shaking her head, she sighed again, sounding irritated. Ugh, this wasn't what she had signed up for.

New recruits filtered in from all bases, she could see from the electronic maps. That was good, too. Scribbling down a few notes, she stood up. Surely there would be more orders in the morning. For now, she was tired and bored out of her skull, and wanted nothing more than to just sink into her soft bed and sleep. Paperwork could wait until then, and if not, then whatever. She was too tired. Once she reached her small quarter, she collapsed on the small bun, not even bothering to change, and was soon asleep.

    ----

Silia flew over the small town of Nuvema, peering into the windows. From what the small Pokémon could tell, none of the people inside was her trainer. With a disappointed, musical sigh, she took flight again, wondering where Liz was. Was she worried about her? The Swablu shivered slightly, despite the warm air. What if Liz had gotten arrested? Silia clamped her beak tight. No, she must not think of that. Flying over Accumula and then to Striaton, she decided to check out the Dream Yard... Just in case.

The Dream Yard was empty. Every nook, every cranny that Liz had showed Silia. Empty. Circling around, Silia let out a small cry. "Liz? Liz?" But to any other human, it would only sound like the cry of a Swablu. "Swa? Swa? Swablu?" Silia soon landed on one of the trees that surrpunded the Dream Yard. It was getting late, and she was tired. "I'll find you, Liz. I promise," she vowed to herself.

Rex were sneaking around in Castelia's alleys near the Plasma recruitment center. Is was time to for them to know what he thought about them. Getting out on the main street he just walked casually down it heading for the piers. He needed a good look at the center before attempting anything he needed to be sure it was even possible. Castelia's nightlife had changed but there were still life in the city's streets the atmosphere had changed though. People were still trying to go on like normal but it was hard when you thought about all that had happened. Rex had only been in Unova for 2 years but he'd like everyone else heard about Plasma taking over the region when the N defeated the boy that tried to stop Plasma. The kid had lost and paid a high price with his life and the large white Pokémon that had aided him had disappeared.

Passing the piers and thought he caught a glimpse of someone or something move on the dark piers. he didn't think it was of any importance right now he just needed to do what he did best. He casually looked at the recruitment center from time to time or so were any he passed gonna think. He was really scanning the building to see if there was anything note worthy about it. Stopping at the alley leading behind the center Rex took a quick glance around before going down the alley. Being here the day before he knew that there were a set of fire stairs leading up to the roof. Taking an extra glance around he pulled the neck of his shirt up so it covered the lower part of his face and pulled a black wool skullcap out from one of the pockets in his jacket. Putting it on he started climbing the stairs going under any windows he met on the way and double checked before passing any doors to make sure no one could just spot him if he sneaked pass.

Once on the roof he headed over for a large air vent, large enough for him to crawl in through. Fishing a multi purpose tool out of another pocket he started fiddling with the screws on the vent grid like it was the most natural thing in the world to do. A Murkrow landed nearby nothing that alarmed the man since it was his Pokémon that had taken up station as lookout while he did his work.

    -----

Laying on his bed in one of the Pokémon center's rooms that had in the past been meant to house traveling trainers but were now only available to Plasma members if there was no room at the base or if they simply just preferred stay at the Pokémon center instead of the base, the center was located close to the recruitment center. The center was now only open to Plasma's members now. Laying on the bed Raze stared up in the ceiling for a few moments before closing his eyes. It'd been another boring day with him babysitting the boneheaded new recruits.

"I'm not getting paid enough to babysit those new recruits." He mumbled as he started gliding off into sleep. He heard and felt something stuffing around at the foot of the bed. Not bothering to look since he knew it was his Poochyena with its squeaky toy that were making itself comfortable for the night. He almost hoped that something would happen soon since when he wasn't out in the field his superior had a tendency to keep an eye on him knowing he would lazy off at any chance he got as long as it involved paperwork and supervising the new recruits. He wanted to get out in the field again were he could do whatever he pleased. Soon Raze were asleep with his Poochyena curled up at his feet.

    ------

Jace had been send out to look for new potential recruits for the rebellion. They needed to strengthen their number or they wouldn't stand a chance against the growing Plasma force. he was staying at a motel located across the street from the recruitment center he had the perfect view of one of the center's entrances and roof. Not the smartest place to stay if you were a rebel but it was the cheapest motel he'd been able to find.

Something scurried around under his army green hunting vest, a little Joltik. The Pokémon were small enough to have out in broad daylight if he found it needed since he could conceal it under his clothes as a precautions in case he lucked out and got discovered.

Sitting looking out of the window Jace were starting to nod off when he saw something that caught his interest, a man clad in dark clothes had climb up on the roof of the recruitment center. it looked like he were trying to open the large air vent located on the roof.

"Now what are ya up ta pal?" Jace mumbled as he studied the figure on the roof only just now noticing a Murkrow. The little dark bird were well camouflaged in the dark even with the light from the street the little bird had stayed in the shadows. It looked like it was standing guard.

"Well 'Tis is getting interesting now, what would a guy do on teh roof of a Plasma building at 'Tis hour?" Jace asked himself. His Joltik pop out of his vest curious to as why his trainer were now talking to himself. Looking in the same direction the little Pokémon saw the man on the roof as well.

"Tic tic!" It exclaimed excited looking up at his trainer.

"I know what yer're thinking Joltik. That guy is up ta something and is not a service check of teh ventilation system." He got up and order Joltik back under his vest before leaving the motel room. That man was up to something and he wanted to see if he could find out what it was that man was up to. Whatever it was it couldn't be anything good. he headed for the piers and found a bench to sit on near the recruitment center hoping he could find out what the guy wanted to do.

    -----

Aryte were running from a group of Plasma grunts, he'd laid in ambush when he spotted them on route 3. After attacking them he headed for Striaton City evading the grunt's Pokémon. he wanted to find his trainer but the chance of attacking a group of Plasma grunts had proven to be too good to resist. He stormed through the city heading for the Dreamyard hoping to shake the off in the ruins of the old lab there.

A Woobat came at him trying to block his path while a Watchog attacked from the side. Aryte ignored the Watchog and went sttait for the Pokémon trying to block his path. The blade on his head shining with a dark light before he unleashed an attack, Night Slash. Making the Woobat scramble out of the way to avoid getting hit.

Reaching the Dreamyard he ran into the ruins hoping to shake them off taking a wrong turn he ended up in a dead end. "Damn dead end. Guess that means I have to turn back." The Absol cursed turning around to run back only to find his path blocked by three Pokémon. The Woobat and Watchog from before and a Scraggy.

Curse it I'll just fight my way through them. Even if he was cornered Aryte had no intention of making it easy for them to capture him. Plasma knew he belong to trainer and he'd earned quite a bad reputation since his trainer got arrested.

"Bring it on! I won't go down at the hands of a bunch of armatures!" He proclaimed as he attacked the grunts and their Pokémon.

Max thought she saw something land on the roof of the recruitment center, but maybe it was just a wild Pokémon. She shrugged it off, instead turning her attention to the movement out of the corner of her eye - someone was sitting on one of the other piers. Growing wary, she sent out Fenrir carefully and quietly... Just in case. He got the message, crouching low to the ground on the pier, away from the dock lights. Placing her Pokéball back in her inside pocket, she glanced at the dog Pokémon, watching as his ears perked up. Who knew what he was hearing, or if it was just nothing.

Staring at the spot she thought she had seen something land, she still couldn't see anything well. The shadows on the top of the building were just right, and she couldn't make out what was on top. Shaking her head slightly, Max sat on top of the pier rail, getting a slightly better view of the building, but still not seeing anything. Fenrir's tail flicked, and she glanced at the man sitting on the other pier, looking perfectly normal.

But that night was not, indeed, normal.

    ----

Danielle's sleep didn't last long, to her annoyance. She sat up, accidentally hitting her head on the bottom of the top bunk, which did not improve her mood at all. Muttering to herself, she stood up, rubbing her head, and glanced out the window. The window gave a perfectly good view of one of the piers which was, in fact, empty, with only the Plasma boat moored to it. "Tch," she muttered, stalking out of the room. She needed a glass of water.

The halls were relatively bright, but then again, they always were. Getting a glass of water from the kitchenette area, she sipped it. "I did not sign up for this," she mumbled. Not for the boredom, not for the paperwork, not for the rather violent means of getting Pokémon away from trainers. So far, Plasma wasn't impressing her much. But she knew where her loyalties laid.

    ----

Silia awoke with a squawk at the sound of Pokémon fighting. She took to the night sky, swooping over the Dreamyard and seeing an Absol fighting A Woobat, Watchog and Scraggy. Immediately glad her trainer had given her TM's, she surveyed the situation. The Absol was fighting well, she mused to herself, but she wouldn't just hover there idly. Maybe the Absol would know where her trainer was, or maybe that was wishful thinking, but she would still help.

Flying low, her small talons started to glow a white color in the darkness, lighting up her already-white wings as she darted towards the Scraggy, slashing at it once as she passed, and then circling around and slashing again with an Aerial Ace attack. Silia hoped she had gotten it, as she was still perfecting her circle-around when she had been separated from Liz.

After fiddling with the screws on the vent grid he removed it as careful as possible making as little sound as humanly possible while putting it down. The Murkrow landed next to him after he'd removed the grid perching herself on a TV antenna next to the vent. "You stay here girl and keep an eye out for trouble I'll be back soon, I hope." Rex told the Murkrow as he start climbing into the vent. doing his very best to not fall 10 feet down face first. Using his arms and legs he climbed down vent shaft making a soft thud when is reached the bottom of it. He was sure it was something others could hear but hopefully they would only thing it was the house settling. Crawling on his belly he start moving through the ventilation system taking great care in making a little noise as possible taking extra care each time be had to cross a grid.

He continued his slow crawl through the ventilation system until he reached a grid that looked like it lead to some sort of staff room. There were a few Plasmites in the room eating, drinking coffee and chatting. Must be the night shift, let's give them a little surprised then. He thought as he pulled the same tool he'd used for removing the vent grid not long ago and one more thing he'd had taped to his back. A bomb, it was virtually harmless though since it only contained red paint and were made of soft material that didn't splintered. placing the bomb next to him he started the process of removing the grid into the staff room taking his time making sure he didn't make any noise.

Before removing the last screw holding the grid in place he took hold of the it to avoid it crashing down. He wanted the grid to drop at just the right time. he didn't have to wait very long and dropped the grid making it crash to the floor loudly letting the his little surprise follow. He detonated the paint bomb creating chaos but some still spotted him as he moved away from the opening.

"There's someone in the ventilation system!" One of the Plasmite shouted. "Sound the alarm it could be a rebel!"

    -----

Sitting on the bench near the piers close to the recruitment center Jace thought he heard commotion from inside the building. What's going on? Is it teh guy I spotted earlier on the roof? The sounds were faint so even if Jace got off the bench he didn't close in on the center since it could be dangerous if ther ereally was something brewing.

    ------

Aryte was fighting with tooth and claw when a Swablu suddenly dived down and attacked the Scraggy knocking it out after two attacks knocking it out with an Arial Ace attack. He didn't mind the help since the grunts owning the Pokémon had shown up.

"Get that Absol is not the first time it assaults by passers!"

The blade on his head shined in a dark light as he send another Night Slash the Woobat's way knocking the Pokémon out. The Watchog didn't waste anytime and used Low Kick hitting the Absol quickly following up with a Slam attack. Aryte took both attack the first one was the worse but Aryte countered with Bite refusing to let go of the Watchog. He refused to give up he had to win losing were out of the question since he wouldn't be able to find his trainer if he got captured.

Danielle gave a little shriek of surprise. One minute, she had been standing there, talking with some other Plasmas, and the next, they, along with the walls and the whole room, were red. She looked up, seeing the ventilation grate gone and someone disappearing into the system. "There's someone in the ventilation system," she barked. "Sound the alarm it could be a rebel!"

She sent out her Ariados. "Ariados! Chase that person through the system, and try to slow him down!" Her Ariados nodded, climbing up the red walls and crawling into the ventilation system. Danielle looked down at herself, and then the others. Outside in the halls, other Plasmas were rushing through, towards the stairs to the roof where the system was accessible. "I'm getting into clean clothes and then seeing what happens," she muttered, going back to her bunk where she changed quickly, wiped off her hair as best she could and headed back towards the stairs.

    ----

Fenrir's head instantly snapped up, and Max heard a faint sound, that was quickly followed by a louder sound... Some siren of some sort? She wanted to go see, but it would be too risky, since most likely the Plasmites were on high alert... "Sorry, boy," she whispered, recalling Fenrir and returning the Pokéball to her inside pocket. With all the Plasmas on alert, it would most likely be dangerous to have him out, even if they were careful. She wouldn't take that risk, not with her Pokémon. She was already recognizable as it was from the battle when Fenrir evolved.

Returning to reality, she glanced at the other pier, but she kept her eyes on the center. Did it have anything to do with what she might have seen on the building? Probably, which meant that there would have been something, which made her curious. But almost anything that made things difficult for Plasma was good in her book. What was going on?

    ----

It was a hit, and the Scraggy fainted. Silia didn't have time to think as she prepared another Aerial Ace, seeing that Watchog was attacking the Absol, and seeing the grunts arriving. Even if he was getting hurt by the Absol's Bite, Watchog's eyes began to glow. "Watch out!" she shouted, diving at the meerkat Pokémon, her talons outstretched as she flew towards the two, slashing at the Watchog. She soared back around, aiming at the Watchog again and being careful to not hit the Absol.

She just hoped she hit it the second time, or at least stopped it from using Hypnosis. As she glanced back, its eyes were still glowing, but it looked like it was charging, which meant she had stopped it, at least for the moment. Hopefully the Absol could dodge it, but she prepared another attack anyway.

Hurrying through the ventilation system not bothering being careful now because now they knew he was here and he needed to get out fast. Rex looked back hearing something clattering around behind him spotting an Ariados that were fast approaching. Oh snap! Time to get out of here and that can't be don fast enough. He sped up even if Ariados were a slow Pokémon it still had an advantage of maneuverability being smaller. He was barely able to crawl on all four in the vent while the Pokémon on the other hand could still move more freely than him.

Reaching the end of the vent Rex didn't waste anytime, pushing his back against the wall and his legs on the opposite he started walking up the vent shaft. Reaching the top he nearly threw himself at the opening grabbing hold of the edge.

Murkrow landed in the shafts opening looking worried since she'd heard the alarm and the turmoil from the opening of the shaft. hearing something clattering in the shaft the bird looked down and saw Ariados at the bottom of the shaft. Chirping to warn her trainer and telling the Ariados to bugger off and leave him alone at the same time.

    ------

Someone was knocking rather violently on the door to his room. Waking up Raze didn't bother dressing himself before opening it and saw a grunt standing on the other side with a seriously look on his face.

"What is it? This better be important since I was already asleep." Raze said angrily stand only in his boxer and undershirt with eyes that were barely open looking like he wanted to kill the grunt.

"There's trouble at the recruitment center. Someone have attacked it using the ventilation system one of the admin ordered me to wake you." The grunts answered before hurrying on to warn the others.

"For Arceus' sake I'm not in the mood for this. Come Poochyena we got a bone to pick with the bastard." Raze cursed as he quickly pulled his flight suit and boots on not bothering pulling the suit over his shoulders until he was out of the Pokémon center now hearing the siren with the little pooch right at his heels.

    ------

Jace heard the siren and knew it would summon any Plasmite in the area. 'Tis is bad. He was sure it was because of the man he'd spotted on the roof earlier. He decided to move closer hoping he would be seen as nothing more than a curious bystander. He felt Joltik scuttling around under his vest excited it could sense that something big was going on. "Tik tik!" Could be hear from Jace's vest and he had to silently remind his excited Pokémon that now was not the time for it to make any noise as he approached the recruitment center.

A Plasmite with a Poochyena at his heels was pulling his uniform on that looked like some sort of flight suit passed him giving Jace a rude remark as he passed since he didn't move out of the way fast enough.

Okay something big is diffidently going on. What did teh guy on ta roof do if is because of him?

    -----

Aryte heard the Swablu's warning and pushed the Watchog away at the first chance he got.Watching the little bird attack he looked for an opening he didn't wanted to hit the one that had come to his aid.

There's my chance! The blade on his head shined in a faint pink before unleashing a Psycho Cut at the Watchog hitting it dead center. The plasma Pokémon fainted and Aryte turned his attention to the grunts who were now less eager to challenge him. With claws shining dark Aryte jumped at the nearst grunt that barely manage to get out of the way before they scrambled off.

"Hmph. That'll teach you low lifes to stay out of my way!" he yelled after them. Of course the only thing the grunts heard were "Sol sol Absol!".

Max casually started for the center, looking for all the world like a random bystander - if one could get past her rather shady and wary appearance. She stopped, though, seeing the other person, and retreated into the shadows to watch the fun unfold. So far, she couldn't see much, but as she got close to the building, she could hear the commotion inside. When she saw a person who appeared to be part of Plasma, she stiffened, pushing herself against the wall as much as she could, watching as they passed.

Once they had, she relaxed slightly, knowing something definitely was up. Whatever it was, it would certainly be interesting. Her jacket stayed slightly open, so she could easily get to her pokeballs in case she did get caught and had to fight. After all, this was risky.

    ----

Danielle stormed through the halls, looking thoroughly irritated. A few Plasmites got out of her way when they saw her coming, seeing her expression and the still-wet red paint in her hair. Following the Plasmas to the stairs, she started climbing, knowing it was a rather long way onto the roof. Hopefully Ariados would have it covered when they got up there.

Ariados clicked her mandibles as she easily navigated through the vents, her legs making soft thumping sounds on the metal beneath her. But she knew it would hold, and took her time, as her 'prey' was slow going through the system. She came upon the stretch of system that went straight up to the grate on the roof, where her prey was hanging. The spider clicked, sounding pleased as she shot a sticky strand of thread up onto the man's shoe. She shot several more threads up onto the grate, for the most part sealing it off.

    ----

Silia landed on the ground near the Absol, relieved the grunts were running away. Now that the battle was over, she was a bit timid, scratching at the ground with her tiny talons and overall not looking at the Absol. "H-hi," she said, looking at the ground. Looking up at him, she saw how big he was, and he kind of intimidated her.

She used her beak to preen herself, feeling the adrenaline fade away from the battle. Maybe he would know something about her trainer? She shot down her hopeful feelings, knowing that was probably unlikely. But it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Ariados' sticky silk threads had ensnared his left arm and head effectively gluing him to the opening of the shaft. Rex tried to reach the knife he had with him but it was useless the knife was out of his right arms reach. Struggling and trying to break free of the sticky silk would be useless since it would only ensnare him even more. He could hear all the commotion and the siren. Guess they didn't like my surprise. He could hear the Ariados clicking its mandibles sounding rather satisfied that it'd manage to glue him to the opening. He could hear Murkrow squawking angrily in the shaft, she'd avoided the sticky silk threads and were now assaulting the Ariados with a combination of pecks and wing attacks doing her best to keep the bug at bay.

Well looks like I don't have any choice other than bringing out another Pokémon if I want to escape. Grabbing a Poké Ball from one a pocket in his jacket. Luckily the grade wasn't completely blocked by the silk so he was able to stick a hand out and release the Pokémon in the ball, a Zangoose.

"Quickly cut the silk before the Plasma freaks shows up!" Rex ordered the Zangoose. "And mind where you're cutting this time we don't need a repeat of what happened the last time okay." The Pokémon nodded and started cutting his trainer loose as the first Plasmite started showing up.

Rex pulled himself out of the vent shaft still partly covered in Aridos' silk he would have to remove that later once he'd gotten away. "Murkrow get you're feathered butt up here and cover us!" The bird turned its attention away from the Aridos and rushed to her trainer's side knowing just what he meant by covering them. Spouting black smoke like fog from her beak the cloud enveloped the building's roof.

    ------

Raze had asked some of the grunts standing in front of the center what was going on and had been told that someone were crawling around in the ventilation system. He then headed to the roof like a few other Plasmites were. Arriving at the fire stairs leading up to the roof he could see a black smoke like cloud enveloping the roof. He decided to stay on the ground if the culprit got pass those that must already be on the roof and the stairs. he planted himself under the stair telling his Pokémon to stay on guard.

    ------

Aryte looked at the Swablu when it uttered a timid "Hi" he was thankful for the help but he found it funny that the small bird were now so timid. "Hey and thanks for the help." He greeted back. "But why would you help me?" Aryte was curious about that as he took a few steps forward.

Ariados clacked her mandibles furiously, seeing her vision obscured by the heavy black smoke that filled the air. She was already annoyed by the pesky bird that was attacking her, and now this? Mistress wasn't going to be happy, not at all. Hissing, she scaled the system, poking her fanged head out the shaft and into the warm night air. Still hissing furiously, she crawled out onto the roof, facing down the rebel.

Danielle coughed, swearing at the black smoke. On top of it all, the fire alarm started going off, which made her even madder. "Just go!" she seethed, pushing through the confused Plasmites as she rushed up the stairs, waving at the smoke that she knew would take a while to disperse. Someone got out their Pidove and had it use Whirlwind, trying to clear away the smoke. She was tripping and slamming into walls as she ascended, resorting to feeling her way along the walls.

Then she proceeded to fumble with her keys, shoving it into where she assumed the lock was, and she failed miserably. Coughing, she finally just leaned down, seeing exactly where it was and inserting the key. "Finally," Danielle grumbled, twisting the knob and stepping out onto the roof. To her dismay, there was just more smoke. In fact, it seemed heavier, since the roof was the source. "Great."

    ----

It didn't take long for Max to hear the commotion and see the smoke. Either something was on fire or it was just a Pokémon attack. preferably nothing was on fire. She stayed pressed against the wall, watching this whole thing unfold, hearing noises from the roof. She wished she could see, but to fly up would be dangerous, and she was already known. So she just stayed to watch.

    ----

Silia glanced at the Absol. "You're welcome," she said shyly. "Well... I don't like Plasmas either. They separated me from my trainer... And I just thought that maybe you might know where she is." Once she got that out, she knew how ridiculous it sounded, and she wished she hadn't said it. Of course he probably didn't know, he was probably searching for his own trainer. She sighed, hopping a step or two back.

Raze heard all the commotion on the roof and looked up the black smoke had started to billow down the building he thought it would be better to get rid of the smoke. Moving out on front of the recruitment center were there were plenty of room. He fished a Poké Ball out of a holster he had on the chest of his flight suit and released the Pokémon inside. A large Aerodactyl manifested from the red light. The monstrous Pokémon sensed that there was something going on and were eager to participate in it herself.

"Okay girl clear that smoke so we can finish this shit and get back to bed." He order the monstrous Pokémon while climbing on to its back.

The huge Pokémon took off winging around a single time in order to position herself so she could attempt to blow the smoke away. using Whirlwind the fossil Pokémon flapped her wings as fast as she could blowing away the smoke with only a few strands linger here and there.

"That should make it easier to find that bastard this is such a pain in the neck." Raze said spotting a man with his face covered that was about to throw a grunt aside when he turned spotting the Raze and Aerodactyl.

    --------

Ordering Murkrow to lead the way back to the fire stairs that were on the side of the building he hoped he could get off the roof before too many grunts showed up. The bird flew up over the haze to locate them before coming down to lead her trainer. Rex wanted to get off the roof as fast as possible but he needed to be careful since one wrong step could mean he would get caught or fall to his death and neither of those option were tempting. With Murkrow leading the way he hoped he wouldn't bump into too much trouble. To Rex's dismay he ended up bumping into a grunt near the fire stairs who did their very best to prevent him from escaping.

"I got the rebel!" The grunt yelled as he tried to wrestle Rex to the ground.

"The hell you don't!" Rex snarled doing everything in his power to fight back kneeing the grunt in the stomach and kicked him an extra time just for good measure. Grabbing hold of the grunt he was about to threw the grunt to the ground when he felt a strong wind dispersing Murkrow's haze.

Half turning Rex looked to see what had created the strong winds and immediately regretted it the sight sending cold chills down his spine his eyes widen with fear. He'd never thought Plasma would have that kind of Pokémon in their possession. Letting go of the grunt he'd been about to toss aside he started scrambling down the fire stairs nearly mowing down a grunt on the way in his attempt to get away.

    ------

Jace saw the monster one of the Plasmites let loose blow away the haze. He'd never seen a Pokémon like that before its sheer size were enough to make him wanted to crawl away and hide. He then saw a man scramble out from the alley leading behind the center looking like he wanted to hide more than anything else right now two Pokémon following him. Watching the man dash into the next alley it hit Jace that that must have been the guy he'd seen sneaking around on the roof earlier. He had to follow him but he couldn't just storm after him since that would blow his cover and most likely make the guy try to flee even harder. Jace decided to take the main street and hope he would be able to catch the guy at the Main Plaza. Walking fast paced he headed for the main Plaza hoping he would make it or a potential recruit might be lost to Plasma.

    ------

"I'm afraid I don't I'm looking for my trainer too. Plasma took her away and tried to "liberate" me or whatever they called it. When she resisted they just took her away. To where I don't know." So this Pokémon here were looking for her trainer as well.

Aryte took a quick look around before trotted off. "We better get away from here more of the mare bound to come once those we chased away tell about what happened." He'd decided to go to Pinwheel forest since it was one big maze of trees. no one would be able to find him there easily.

Max slipped into one of the darker alleys once it was all said and done. Plasmas would be after those people, and she was high-tailing it to Route 4, through the desert. Man, that had been intense. And she wasn't counting on getting caught, that was for sure, as she headed towards the plaza... She'd have to sneak either around or over the gate, though, but that wouldn't be an issue. Hopefully, she thought as she weaved through the darkness, occasionally ducking behind dumpsters and such to check behind her.

    ----

Danielle smirked when Raze's Aerodactyl cleared the smoke, but the smirk quickly wiped off her face as she looked around the roof. "Where is he?" she snarled, Ariados hissing. A muffled shout came from the fire stairs, and she darted back towards the doorway, where she glimpsed him running away. "Ariados! Go after him," she ordered. "Raze? Do you think you can track him?" she called up. Ariados could track him, but she was rather slow, and Raze would probably have the advantage on his Aerodactyl. If he agreed, of course.

Well, this was certainly becoming a pain in the neck. She glanced at the alleyway where he had gone. It was too small for the Dactyl to fly through, but perhaps they could just track them from above. Surely it wouldn't be that hard, right?

    ----

Silia hopped after the Absol, taking to flight after a few hops. "Do you... Do you think I could come with you?" she asked shyly, glancing at him. It was probably her best bet, anyway, considering she was still young and a bit weak... She had still been training when they had been separated...

They were heading out of the Dreamyard. "Where are we--you going?" she called, swooping down so she was beside him. "Far away?" Then she quieted down, knowing that she was probably annoying him, which might reduce her chances of letting her go with him, but maybe she was just worrying too much.

"Piece of cake. I can do that in my sleep." Raze said making Aerodactyl wing over before following the alley the annoying rebel had taken. Flying over head Raze looked down into the alley system and quickly spotted their target. "You're not getting away you little SoB, not after having me getting out of bed just to chase you." The Plasmite cursed.

He followed the rebel the best he could the darkness gave his fleeing target an advantage watching him turn and dash through some of the darker alleys the guy suddenly stopped or more precisely ran into something or someone in the alley.

"Odd, did he run into something? Well not like I can complain." Raze said fishing another Poké Ball out of the holster on his chest. "I'll probably lose a Poké Ball on this but it'll be well worth it if we catch that bastard." Flying as low as possible before letting the ball go. "Go Nidorina! Turn the rebel into a pin cushion if you have to!" Raze ordered at he let the ball go, watching it fall into the alley. It would certainly cost him a ball but it was a small price if he caught the rebel.

    ------

Running as fast as his legs could carry him Rex stormed through the alleys. Having seen the huge Aerodactyl fly overhead had only made him run faster. In the weak hopes of losing the flying fossil Rex began to zigzag through the alleys ending up in some of the darker ones further away from the bright main street. Murkrow and Zangoose were still with him, the bird was squawking each time the huge Pokémon flew overhead telling the fossil Pokémon to get lost.

He needed to team up with his remaining Pokémon on Route 4 but he couldn't do that if he had a dinosaur and half Castelia's plasma force tailing him. "I gotta do something and fast!" the man panted as he on a whim decided to try and hide in the darker alleys. There was little hope he knew but he had to try before making a break for freedom.

Zigzagging through the alleyways Rex could see the Aerodactyl was still after him cursing that it was still following him but he'd expected that since the hope of shaking it off were small. Turning into a darker alley Rex sudden ran into something at full speed. It all happened so fast that he barely noticed he fell until he was laying on the ground his right wrist throbbing.

"Damn that hurt what in the name of Arceus did I run into?" he nursed his throbbing wrist as he sat up and looked around discovering that he'd ran right into another person. Wearing dark clothes like himself he hadn't notice the person before it was already to late. His Pokémon came to see if their trainer was okay after the nasty fall Murkrow landed next to him looking very worried while Zangoose only took a glimpse before looking up in the sky.

A Pokémon hit the ground about 10 feet from the two people, a Nidorina emerging from it with a very malicious look on its face.

    -----

Jace did everything in his power to resist the urge to run when he saw how the huge Pokémon one of the Plasmites had called started to look like it was scouting the area. He wanted to help the guy but he couldn't blow his cover since Plasma thought he was in Sinnoh helping his younger sister out. he was thankful that his parent had decided to hide any pictures they had of the family after Plasma took their and then later came to question them about their oldest son's whereabouts. He'd just hope that the guy would pop up on the main plaza or near it. it was frustrating he just couldn't attack the flying monster fossil but it would be the stupidest thing to do he just didn't wanted to lose another potential recruit.

    -------

Aryte looked at the Swablu when she asked if she could tag along. "not at all as long as you can look out for yourself." he said as they left the Dreamyard. They had to hurry before more of those Plasma people would show up. They had to either sneak through the city under the cover of darkness to get the Pinwheel forest.

"I'm off to forest on the other side of the city. That place is a maze no one in their right mind will try to follow us in there since is a giant maze. I've been there before with my trainer so it be fine. For now let's just use the darkness to our advantage and get through the city." The Absol answered as they arrived at Striation City.

Max let out a small shriek as someone ran full force into her, and she fell backwards, landing heavily on her left arm, and she gasped in pain as she heard a loud crack. Two flashes of red and there was Fenrir and Stryker, her Mightyena and Archeops looking concerned. She stood up, wincing slightly at the sight of her arm bent the wrong way. She tried to move it and stifled another shriek of pain. Definitely broken.

Out of the darkness she saw a Nidorina, a strangely malicious look on its face. "Fenrir, stay back. It might have Poison Point," she choked out. "Stryker. Rock Slide. Nidorina only!" She saw the Zangoose and Murkrow and remembered as she turned towards the man. "Um... Are you okay?" she asked, wincing as she moved a few steps closer. Fenrir prowled around her legs, protecting her. Stryker let out a cry, rocks suddenly flying straight towards the Nidorina.

    ----

Ariados scuttled towards the alleyway, following the Aerodactyl. She noticed him hovering over a certain spot, and she climbed into the alleyway there, clicking her mandibles and seeming pleased with herself. Turning corners and preparing silk, she soon came across where the Dactyl was. Two people were there, one with an arm bent oddly. Were they both rebels? The Pokémon didn't dwell on it, his instructions were to only follow the man. She spat a thread of silk at the man, hoping to get him that time.

Danielle marched through the streets, looking thoroughly ticked off at this point. Raze and his Aerodactyl were up ahead, and she could only hope Ariados had enough common sense. Sneasal was walking with her, absentmindedly inspecting her claws and making sure they were top-notch. "The rebel better be worth it," she muttered.

    ----

"Thank you," Silia chirped as she followed him. She could look after herself. She could battle. "Okay," she said, vaguely remembering that that was a forest her trainer had been to. She didn't think that she had ever been there, though. She was a bit hungry, but she didn't mention anything. There would probably be some berries there, anyway.

"Yes I'm fine just some road rash and sprained wrist I think." Rex got back up on his feet feeling pain run through his right arm while getting up. Spotting the Nidorina that were doing its best to evade the falling rocks. He was about join the fight when Murkrow screeched a warning as silk threads shot towards Rex.

He heard Murkrow's warning but it was too late the silk ensnared him and he was stuck to a wall before he could make an attempt to flee or evade. "Dammit! I can't move!" The man cursed as he desperately tried to free himself from the silk. "Zangoose cut the silk, Murkrow find the owner of this silk!" He ordered the Pokémon he needed to out of here and fast even if the chance of getting away were small with that monster hovering above them.

Nidorina heard the man order his Pokémon to cut him free and decided that that wasn't going to happen if she could prevent it. Ignoring the Archeops and Mightyena she charged the Zangoose hoping to reach it before it freed their target. Using Rock Smash she hit the Zangoose on the side of the head knocking him away before it could free its trainer. Doing everything it could to buy time Nidorina stayed close to their target raising her poisinous spikes as a warning that she would fight any trying to help the man.

Aerodactyl spotted the Archeops attacking Nidorina and the Murkrow that started flying higher in the attempt to find Ariados that'd manage to surprise their target and gluing him to a wall with its sticky silk. Aerodactyl wouldn't let that happen, pulling her wings back she unleashed another Whirlwind. She didn't need to hear her trainer say it she knew that he would either have her use Whirlwind or Roar. Flapping her large wind she tried to make the winds as strong as possible without throwing off Raze by accident.

Murkrow got hit by the winds and was send tumbling to the ground where she fumbled around for a few seconds before being able to tell up from down, left from right. Ruffing up her feathers she screeched angrily up at the Aerodactyl before turning it all on the Nidorina. Using Screech at loud as she could she hoped that the sounds would be too much for the Poison Pin Pokémon's sensitive ears.

Raze winched at the sound of the Screech attack, turning on his Xtransceiver he send Danielle a message hoping she had the her transceiver with her.

Hurry up, there seem to be more than one and they're fighting back. Nidorina and your Ariados won't be able to keep this up forever and Aerodactyl can't do much in terms of helping in these narrow alleyways and bring my Poochyena along if you see him. He's probably confused about me suddenly flying off.

Hitting the send button he hoped Danielle would hurry since his Nidorina and her Ariados wouldn't be able to keep the enemy Pokémon at bay forever since it was two against one it seemed.

    ------

Jace saw the Aerodactyl use Whirlwind again, having a bad feeling he sped up almost running as he reached the Main Plaza. Looking around he couldn't see the guy from the roof. looking back at the Aerodactyl that were still hovering over the same spot he felt his heart sink. They must have cornered the guy and was now trying to capture him. I can't let that happen, we need more recruits since we're hopelessly outnumbered by the Plasmites.

A discouraged "Tik tik." could be heard from his vest, even if the little electric bug couldn't see what was going on it could feel that something bad was going on. It know how his trainer was feeling, he wanted to help but he'd been ordered to stay hidden and he knew it was a bad idea popping up now.

"Don't worry buddy, we'll help him. We have ta or we'll be forever outnumbered." Jace whispered to Joltik while softly patting the area of his vest where Joltik was hiding as he tried discreetly to move towards the alleyways Aerodactyl was hovering over. At least it made it easy find where the guy was with a huge Pokémon hovering over the area.

    ------

Sneaking through Stration City Aryte was sticking to the shadows. Being a dark types was now a great advantage to him even if a white coat was not the best thing to sneak around. not like his white fur coat mattered much since sneaking through the city was easy enough. it was getting out that might be a problem since they needed to get through a gate which was probably guarded. but he had an idea how to get pass any guards that might be there he just hoped his new companion would agree to it.

Reaching the gate he saw that there was only one guard which made sense since it was too late for most humans to be up right now. "Okay little Birdie. Do you think you can hit the one guarding the gate on the back of the head with an Arial Ace or something if I distract them? Don't worry if you don't knock them out I'll do that if you don't succeed we just need to make sure the first attack will surprise them." Aryte asked Silia while he studied the gate guard.

Max whirled around, looking at the Ariados that had seemingly materialized out of the shadows. Stryker let out a little warning screech as the Nidorina ran towards the Zangoose. "Stryker! Rock Slide on the Nidorina, and ONLY the Nidorina!" she shouted. "Fenrir!" Fenrir's ears perked up when he heard his name. "Fire Fang on that Ariados! Do as much damage on those threads as you can, but don't injure the man!"

Stryker summoned more rocks, throwing them at the Nidorina. Fenrir's fangs started glowing red-hot and grew in length, and she rushed at the spider, rushing towards it. Max started looking through her bag to try to find something that could cut the sticky threads, wincing every time her arm moved. Winds buffeted her , and she grabbed the nearby alley wall for support, wincing again.

Fenrir and Stryker staggered off balance, looking confused. But they luckily didn't attack each other, instead taking a few seconds to get their focus back and attack their opponents and not anyone on their side. "Good," Max breathed. She continued rooting through her bag. Anything would work, but her supplies were running low... Where was that Razor Claw she could have sworn she had? She paused, flinching at the sudden Screech attack, but continued searching.

    ----

Danielle's Xtranceiver beeped, and she checked the message. Got it. Reinforcements are coming. Is it only the one rebel? Clicking send, she heard a lonely whine sounding, and she found Raze's Poochyena wandering through the halls. "Aww. Come on, dear," she said, picking him up and heading out into the warm night air. "We have a rebel to arrest."

A small group of Plasmas led by her entered the alleyway, and they started through, heading where Raze and his monster dactyl were hovering. That was one of its disadvantages, her sheer size. But hopefully her Whirlwind was making it difficult for the rebel, and from what he said, her Ariados was there, too.

    ----

Silia nodded, her talons glowing. She flew higher, circling around as the Plasmite seemed oblivious to their presence. "For Liz," she said quietly to herself, diving down and knocking her claws into the back of the grunt's head. Soaring around, she hit him again, watching as he crumpled to his hands and knees, but he wasn't entirely out.

Flying up out of his reach, she nodded to Aryte, hoping he would get the signal. Her claws stayed lit, just in case he tried to attack her or he sent out his own Pokémon. "Come on," she murmured, watching as the grunt slowly but surely started t get up.

Nidorina avoided the second Rock Slide attack sneering annoyed that they kept trying to keep her and Ariados away from the man they needed to catch. Raising her poisonous spikes on her back once again she positioned herself so if she backed up one step her spikes would sting the trapped man on the leg warning them not to get closer or try anything. "Nido nini NI!" One wrong move and I'll poison the guy. The poison Pokémon barked having no qualms about poisoning him since she'd been told she could turn the guy into pin cushion if needed.

Zangoose and Murkrow got the message and stayed put not wanting their trainer to get poisoned. It was hard for Murkrow to just stand there not being able to attack or her trainer would get stung. Ruffing up her feathers she clicked her beak irritated that should couldn't do anything. Zangoose kept his cool but he didn't wanted Rex to get stung any less than Murkrow if he could just get between the Nidorina and Rex he could protect him from the poisonous spikes since he was immune to poison effects.

Rex gulped nervously as he saw the Nidorina's spikes dangerously close to his leg. Not daring to move a muscle now the only thing he could do was just staring to the spikes so close to his leg. Shit, I need to get out of here before Plasma shows up or I'm done for which they probably would soon. Looking up he glared at the monstrous fossil hovering overhead, at least it wasn't able to land and join in on all this other than supporting the Ariados and Nidorina.

    -------

A group of Plasmites passed Jace headed into an alley in the direction of the where the Aerodactyl were hovering. Shit! He needed to hurry or Plasma would arrest the guy. Joltik were scurrying around on his back eager to take part in the action sensing what Jace wanted to do. He followed the Plasmite group at a distance crouching behind containers when he could hoping he could follow them right to the man he'd seen on the roof.

    -------

Aryte got the signal and pounced the grunt from behind while he was trying to get up hammering his front paws into the grunts skull. The man went limp and fell to the ground. "Okay let's hurry before someone sees us." The Absol said as he ran through the gate and into the forest on the other side.

Once safely on the other side of the gate Aryte immediately headed for the the trees and into the deeper parts of the woods. Stopping at a large boulder covered in moss he thought this would be a good place to hide for the night. "Okay let's stay here for the night since this seems like a good place with plenty of cover in case Plasma shows up." Stretching his legs he found a place to lie down he was only going to lie down for a moment before going out looking for food.

Fenrir and Stryker screeched to a halt, and Max stilled, her eyes on how close nthe Nidorina's spikes were to the man's legs. This... Was not good. She couldn't do anything, not move. She didn't want the man to get poisoned. They were in a bad position indeed. Basically, they were sitting ducks. What were they supposed to do? Her hand was stuck in her bag, but any sudden movements would send the spikes into the man's legs, unless.... Unless... She glanced at Stryker.

Stryker was faster than Nidorina. He also knew Earthquake. It would be super effective, but hit everyone on the field... Should she risk it? Glancing around, Nidorina was the only one with a full weakness to Ground, and Earthquake wasn't STAB on Stryker. Hopefully it would at least knock out Nidorina... She took a deep breath, muttering, "I'm sorry," before shouting, "Stryker! Earthquake!"

    ----

It didn't take Danielle long to get on track of the correct alleyways, Poochyena and Raze's location helping immensely. Just as they were getting close, the ground began to shake violently, and she grabbed a wall to steady herself. "What was that?" she snapped, raising her voice so it could be heard over the vibrations.

"Feels like an Earthquake, ma'am," one of the group members piped up.

Danielle snorted, stopping the group for a few seconds to type up a quick message to Raze. Why'd you use Earthquake? After clicking Send, she started on her way again, glancing at the hovering Pokémon. "Come on. It's not far now."

    ----

Silia nodded, fluffing out her wings a bit and making a small, makeshift nest before roosting. It wasn't the most comfortable, but it wasn't bad. It was warm, at least. "Okay," she said with a slight yawn. "Where will we go tomorrow?" Maybe they'd look for food tomorrow... She was a bit tired.

Rex thought this was the end of the line for since the Nidorina were keeping him hostage right now. He knew Murkrow and Zangoose wouldn't attack while the poisonous spike were poised at his leg. Is all over Murkrow and Zangoose can't do anything when the Nidorina threatens to sting him like that. It couldn't be long now before Plasmites would come and drag them off to who knows where.

He thought he heard the girl he'd ran into mutter something before shouting a command, ordering he Pokémon to use Earthquake. Wait earthquake! Oh shit that's not good Rex thought. He didn't get the chance to warn her about the dangers of using Earthquake here before the Archeops slammed itself into the ground make it shake violently. Rex prayed that the buildings wouldn't collapse from the shock waves that ran through the ground.

The Nidorina had to move in order to keep her balance, involuntarily moving away from the rebel's legs even if it wasn't much. Rex saw it and decided to take a gamble when the shaking started to subside since he needed that Pokémon away from him. He kicked the Poison Pin Pokémon with his free leg making it roll over a few times before it got back up. Zangoose saw this and immediately placed itself between its trainer and the Nidorina.

Suddenly hearing the sound of cracking stone and cement followed by a loud crash from somewhere behind were the Aerodactyl was hovering told Rex that something hadn't been able to stand the Earthquake.

    --------

His Xtransceiver beeped indicating that there was a new message. Opening it he quickly responded. That wasn't me, a Pokémon must get in direct contact with the ground in order to use Earthquake and Aerodactyl is unable to land. Hitting the send button he looked down. It looked like his Pokémon were in trouble but there wasn't much he could do to help her though she would have to hang on till Danielle arrived.

He did notice that the ground had started shaking after someone had shouted something he didn't catch since he was a little too high up for that. Raze turned around when he heard the crashing sound from the corner of the building that hadn't been able to stand against the strong attack. Watching the dust cloud rise he thought that that was unusually reckless for the rebels to do something like this not even Raze himself would do something like this or he would have had it rain rocks down the alleyway already.

Nidorina snorted angrily as she watched the Zangoose get between her and the man. Sheturned her attention to the Archeops that'd used Earthquake since it'd done a significant amount of damage to her that left her panting and now she wanted revenge. She watched as the Archeops started slowly getting off the ground now that the quacks had stopped. It was gonna pay for that it didn't mattered that none of her moves were truly useful against it she just wanted revange for that last move. Opening her mouth she spitted out a purple ooze aiming for the feathered fossil Pokémon. Hope that the Sludge Bomb would at least have some effect on it.

    ---------

Jace felt the quacks and ducked behind a dumpster holding his arms over the head as protection against falling roof tiles that rained down. Thankfully none of them had hit him once the shaking stopped. What was going on up ahead? He thought as he continued sneaking after the Plasma group hoping to take them by surprise once they reached wherever they were going.

    ---------

"Tomorrow? Hmm....well we could continue through the forest to the next city." Aryte answered the Swablu now yawning as well. making himself comfortable in the tall grass he decided that foraging for food could wait till after getting some sleep.

Max winced at the sound of the cracking stone and cement, hoping that building was unoccupied at the moment. She had been incredibly stupid; using Earthquake in the middle of the city! She could have killed someone, she might have anyway! This was a city, not some field! She swore rather loudly at her idiocy. At least it seemed to only be one building, and then not even the whole building, only a part of it. Phew.

Stryker tried to dodge the poisonous attack, but he was too slow, getting his wings and tail coated with the stuff. And judging from his now-purple shade, he had been poisoned. And his Defeatest ability probably would have kicked in, too... Biting her lip, she called Archeops to her, and the fossil flew to her. She gave him an Antidote, her second-to-last one. "I'm sorry," she murmured, hugging the bird. She stood up, glaring at the Nidorina. "Fenrir. Fire Fang on the Ariados." But her heart wasn't in the command, as she was too worried about the building and who might have been inside.

The spider squealed as the canine once again rushed towards her, his fangs alight. She scuttled away, trying to avoid him, but the Mightyena was faster, and her latched onto the spider's abdomen, his fangs burning her. He let go quickly, knowing that she was already burned, and retreated to stand in front of the girl and her other Pokémon, growling menacingly at the Nidorina and the Ariados.

    ----

Then who was it? Danielle quickly texted back, starting towards the area at faster pace. She and her party had frantically dodged the falling cement and stone of the crumbling building, but the only injuries were from diving on the ground and scraping themselves. As they recovered and took a look at the building, one of the grunts said it was an abandoned factory, one that Team Plasma had shut down when N rose to power. No one had been inside, no one had been hurt, except for the aforementioned minor injuries. She quickly texted Raze again. The building that collapsed was empty. One of the factories we shut down. No one in the party was hurt.

    ----

Silia nodded drowsily, tucking her head under her wing and soon she fell asleep. That night, she dreamed of being reunited with Liz, but then her dreams turned to nightmares. Liz being taken away, Liz being arrested, Silia back in a cage, caught and stuffed in a warehouse. She cried out, jolting awake.
