Do you prefer to draw in pencil first, or go straight for pen first?

I prefer drawing in pen, since you have to commit to lines and be more accurate. There's no rubbing pen out, after all!
Plus I don't have to deal with annoying pencil fingers >_>

I like working with Pen first. I think it just looks cleaner than pencil and it's a lot easier to manage.

I always go for pencil first when I draw traditionally, because I like drawing with graphite! If I do decide to ink, I very rarely erase the lines underneath, since I usually have ink lines and pencil shading. Plus, my ink pens are very expensive, so I like to have pencil lines to go by so I don't waste ink if I don't like a drawing, haha.

Well usually when I'm doing the outlines of my drawing I don't go over them but if I did I would go with a pencil because I like how the pencil lines come out

Pencil's a lot safer but at the same time those smudges can really bother me.. often I won't even notice I've smudged the picture until quite a while later. But I hardly draw traditionally so I don't have to worry about that so much anymore! Go undo option. c':

I always preferred pencil over pen. I think it's because of the way the pencil feels compared to a pen. Pen seems too free for me in other words, it moves all over the place while for pencil, it just feels more comfortable and easier to control with. I prefer mechanical pencil over both of them.

I go pencil first because my lines are very wobbly when I draw freehand, so sketching multiple times over the same lines really helps make them seem smooth.
