Hello friends! I start this thread after a long time of not starting threads... but this is about people who just love everything that is related to Pokémon, disregarding any criticism because they do not see it as flaws. Do you know anyone like that? Does it annoy you? Do you love everything Pokémon? Do even bootleg Pokémon toys excite you in shops even though you know you won't buy them? Being a Pokémon lover myself, anything Pokémon excites me! I love everything that is related to Pokémon, and for criticism on games, I just can't understand why it's there. Bootlegs do excite me, though I know I won't buy them especially since they are a waste of money and quality. I will buy any main game that comes out (given that I can afford it) and play it diligently!
I'm a huge Pokémon fan that it leaks into a lot of my life. Pokémon socks, Pokémon tshirts, Pokémon camera strap, Pokémon plushies, Pokémon jewellery, Pokémon figures. I take Pokémon photos. I draw Pokémon. I play Pokémon games. I watch the anime. I make Pokémon AUs. That said I go out my way not to be obnoxious about it. I wont bring Pokémon up unless asked and I don't like wear ALL MY Pokémon MERCH ALL AT ONCE because that would be a fashion disaster. Plus it's not all I draw, take photos of and play. I don't buy bootleg toys because when it comes to the plushies they're often stolen designs from deviantart plush makers. I do have a buterfree that was gifted to me though that I keep because she was a gift.
I am one who loves Pokémon, despite having several other fandoms that i might participate in, the onely one that I feel pretty solid in is Pokémon, and I'll often find myself going back to it. I credit it for many of the animals I can draw now (except horses, that honor belongs to MLP) and I love obtaining plushes and the like. I try not to let my knowledge flow out of me to much, because I know that it can sound like a foreign language at times, but if people ask me, I can go to town.
Indeed, I love everything Pokémon. I have plushies, cards, figurines, Amiibo... Pikachu slippers... and lots of other stuff~ I have a lot of Pokémon fan art too, and I do mean A LOT.
I was introduced to Pokémon through the cards and the anime/movies. I knew of it since I was 4 but got my first game when I was 8. I STILL have a Pokémon bedsheet, I had matching curtains (I don't know if I got rid of them or not), and two pillow cases (still use them). I had over 2 large tote boxes full of Pokémon cards, but I've since sold them when I moved out. I had a ton of old toys from Burger King/Mc Donalds, classic figurines, plushies (Including a life-sized Mimikyu that I bought this year), pins, pens/pencils, notebooks, CD-roms from old computer applications, t-shirts, hats, dresses, a pikachu costume, and much more. I have almost every main and side (Handheld) game, most that I'm missing haven't been released to the US. Missing: Green, Gold, Ruby, LeafGreen, Diamond, HeartGold, White, White 2, X, OmegaRuby, Sun Side games I have: Play It! (learning TCG computer game), TCG GB, Red Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of the Sky, Gates to Infinity, Super Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, Shadows of Almia, Guardian Signs, Rumble Blast, Rumble World, Battle Revolution, PokeBank, Colosseum, XD, Dream Radar, Pokémon Shuffle (3DS and Phone), Picross (3DS remake), Pokémon GO, Magikarp Jump At one point I had a Walmart Demo of Pokémon Diamond/Pearl, I stupidly sold it very cheap a few years ago though.
Pokémon has been with me for a solid amount of my childhood. Nowadays, I am more into the games than watching the anime. The latter is still more tailored to kids than it is to a 23 year old like me, but at least everyone can enjoy an adventure of their own of sorts. I've got every installment of the main games from Ruby & Sapphire to Sun & Moon and will be getting both Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon when they are released in November. So yeah, I loved Pokémon as a kid and I still enjoy it today. Now if you met me in person, I am a little more discreet about it. Used to be a lot more since I had been made fun of in the past when it was more of an obsession. I'll mention it as an interest of mine and usually won't go into depth as a discussion unless the other person/people are also interested/willing to listen.
I absolutely love Pokémon! It's been one of my favorites for a very long time, and there's hardly a thing that I don't like about it. I would have a whole bunch of Pokémon merchandise. The only reason I don't is because I don't want to bother my parents with my obsession with Pokémon. Lol If someone at school starts talking about Pokémon, I'll be there to make sure that their information is correct. I'll offer my extensive knowledge and experience. And my friends all know I love Pokémon too. Even have a couple of Pokémon keychains hanging from my backpack.
I have loved Pokémon for a ridiculously long amount of time, started with the cards and anime and quickly got my first game. I even started a black market for Pokémon cards in elementary, which was awesome. I have a HUGE amount of cards, and somehow retain all the information, picture, and rarity of each...which is probably why I can't ever remember people's names. I got teased about it a lot in school, and I eventually decided to buy one of those Pokémon lanyards from EB Games and wear it around. After people realized that I was this hardheaded, they stopped bothering me. The bonus of being stubborn I never talked about it constantly, but I loved sneaking in little references to games or quotes whenever I had the chance. But if I noticed that someone knew the subject and was enthusiastic about it, then I would talk the ears off anyone around. Pokémon was the first fandom I wholeheartedly supported (since I wasn't watching AOT in third grade), and I continue to love it since. I will admit I have a weakness for bootlegs that is bordering on a bit ridiculous. I will moon over them and stare, even though I will never buy them because my friends would not let me buy any more bootlegs since I filled up two boxes with them. #MissingNo
I love Pokémon. It has been such a large part of my life and it has gained me a lot of friends during the years. I remember going to see the Pokémon 2000 movie in the theather and crying my eyes out it was so beautiful. The games have kept me from doing stupid things like changing who I am at core just to fit it. It gave me an identity aside from just the quiet kid. After 17 years of fun, I am thankful for it existing and allowing me to connect to others.
Pokémon has had such a huge impact on my life! I've been a part of the fandom for so long and have many great memories because of it. If I had the money, nothing would stop me from owning pretty much all the Pokémon merch I could get my hands on. I would especially love to have a collection of plushies, they're all so adorable!
Pokémon have been part of my life ever since saw the first episode on TV, it was the episode where Ash caught Caterpie and I remember watching the first three movies in the cinema with my brother.
