Pikachu's cry

I'm really not sure what to think of it. It's adorable, and it stands out nicely. It gives the Pokémon a lot of character which is a good thing when you've got amie going for it. However, there's also the issue of favoritism. Yeah, Pikachu is the mascot of the series, but it still seems like if one Pokémon gets it at least 100 more should as well, and that's if not all of them.

 

I don't have a problem with it. Pikachu is the mascot and if one tiny change can add to the appeal for some people, then it's an okay move. I actually wouldn't like it much if every single Pokémon had an anime voice.

 

I don't really like it, mostly because no other Pokémon were given the same type of cry, including pikachu's own family, it just doesn't make sense. If raichu and pichu had been given the anime cry I wouldn't care as much.

 

I hate it. I realize Pikachu is the mascot of the series, but to me it seems it's getting too much attention. It feels like they went "Hey, welcome to a cool new generation with all these cool new features! But hey, don't forget about Pikachu because IT'S THE BEST ONE EVER."

I love it--it makes Pikachu feel that much more alive

Kinda wished they would've had more Pokémon use the anime cries if they were gonna have Pikachu's cry, but at least they've sorta retconned it into the game, so maybe there's hope (I would've preferred the anime cry Lampent has over the new one any day XD).

 

I was pleasantly surprised to hear Pikachu's cry back when I battled that lass in the forest. I'm not one to train a Pikachu but I just had to get one after hearing that cry. XD I think I maxed out its hearts in amie just because the little thing was just too adorable.
