Do you have any plans for Thanksgiving? Going to a family member’s house, going to a restaurant, chilling at home? Are you cooking anything or is it someone else’s job?
Every year I go over to my grandparent’s house for Thanksgiving. My grandpa’s turkey, mashed potatoes, and rolls with my grandma’s pasta salad, and jello always make for a great dinner.
I don't live in an area that really celebrates Thanksgiving, but at least I get a day off when it comes.
I go home and celebrate with my family. Its a shame that I will not be able to celebrate it with my extended family like I did in the past but at least I can see my siblings. I rarely see them anymore and its a real treat when were all together. Also, I go to prepare a lot of homework.
My family doesn't have too many plans this year. My dad's making a turkey, we'll probably make turkey apples (using candies and toothpicks to turn apples into turkeys), and we could possibly go to see a Christmas music show Thanksgiving morning (we want to go, but my sister works in the mornings, and she's having a bit of a hard time asking her bosses if she can get off a little early).
We’ve actually already celebrated ours. We all gather at my aunts house cause she loves hosting dinners lol she lives in an area where there are mountains close around everywhere so it’s really nice looking at the changing leaves on her porch after dinner
Thanksgiving isn't a thing that is celebrated here, so I shall be working in the morning and lazing around as per usual in the afternoon. Just another day for me!
I get to do my usual extended family gatherings, but this time my girlfriend gets to meet the rest of my extended family! I know they'll love her so I'm genuinely excited, not nervous which is pretty great if you ask me.
