Pokémon counterparts

    What do you think of Pokémon counterparts (Zangoose/Seviper, Volbeat/Illumise, Gardevoir/Gallade etc.)? And are there any Pokémon you think should get a counterpart in the future?

    I think they're really cool, with really awesome Pokémon (like Gallade and Froslass) being added to an already existing evolutionary line. Although some counterparts, like Plusle/Minun and Volbeat/Illumise are more just dex-fillers, being pretty much completely useless and unoriginal.

    I'm confused as to what you mean by counterparts. Zangoose and Seviper are rivals, Volbeat and Illumise are just the same people different gender, and Gallade and Gardevoir are just different stems in an evolutionary line.

    If anything, they should come out and say whether Jynx and Mr. Mime are counterparts and if Clefable and Gengar are counterparts.

    With counterparts I basically mean any set of two Pokémon that are notably related to each other. This can be the obvious duo's such as Nidoran♂/♀, Volbeat/Illumise, Plusle/Minun, and even legendary duo's like Lugia/Ho-Oh. But it can also be evolutionary counterparts, like Glalie/Froslass, Gardevoir/Gallade, Wormadam/Mothim and Dustox/Beautifly. You can even go further, and consider things like Muk/Weezing, Murkrow/Misdreavus and Gyarados/Milotic a duo, but that's all up to your own opinion.

    To make a long story short, I didn't know a word that would include all of the above xD

    My favorite one is: Lilligant/Whimsicott I love both of them :3

    Also there is Aromatisse/Slurpuff which is my 2nd favorite.

    Other ones like:

    Dragalge/Clawitzer.
    Gothitelle/Reuniclus

    There are actually lots of counterparts.

    Not a huge fan of these in general. Some of them are cool but usually Pokémon which are similar in strength kinda...suck. I just don't like using them. Zangoose/Seviper are a good example of Pokémon with wasted potential. Cool designs maybe but they lack in so many departments it's surreal. :(

    I really like Armaldo and Cradily. I used to like Armaldo a lot better, but Cradily's really cool! <3 I just like fossil Pokémon a lot.

    We had a lot of bad counterparts (Volbeat/Illumise;Plusle/Minun) but luckily there are also good ones. I personally really like cross generation ones (like Gardevoir/Gallade).

    But yeah they should just make some more good ones

    Shiftry and Cacturne, they're both grass/dark types and they both come from hoenn, but one comes from the forest, the other from the desert.
